If beach clubs aren't fun, try Motel Maxicola in Seminyak (a real club).
#BaliTravel
1. Location
Near Potato Head Beach! It takes about 10-15 minutes on foot. First, I recommend going to Potato Head Beach for a quick look and then going to Motel Maxicola if it's not fun.
2. Reason for recommendation
Motel Maxicola is a popular place for Australians, and is known as a Mexican restaurant or a club at night, and is famous for the nightlife of Bali. Can you guess what songs will be playing?
3. Things to note
Motel Maxicola is really fun from 9 PM. Before that, Mexican songs are mainly played, so it might be boring. At 9 PM, the central table is cleared and familiar pop songs start playing. However, since you have to order food to get a table, I recommend coming out when you want to rest and ordering drinks or food.
Oh, and if you enter at night, not during dinner time, you have to pay a separate entrance fee that includes the price of drinks. I didn't really care because I was planning on ordering drinks anyway, but it felt like I was paying twice. Because I paid for the drink (entrance fee) and came in, I had to order food separately to sit at a table.
4. Recommended menu and price
All the cocktails are delicious, but the price is similar to Korea, around 14,000~15,000 won. The tacos are salty, but the price is per piece, so I recommend ordering according to the number of people.
5. Atmosphere and music
There were definitely a lot of Westerners and my friend and I were the only Koreans. Maybe that's why they didn't care about Asians in the first place and actually felt a little excluded. However, since I was going to go crazy and have fun anyway, it was good to let my mind wander. The music is familiar to Koreans, like Dancing Queen, Nanana, and YMCA, and it feels like Itaewon Fountain.
6. Operating hours
It's open until 1 a.m., and from 11 p.m., there are many motorcyclists waiting in front of Motel Maxicola. Usually, people go to Motel Maxicola and then go to Raphael, but we played so hard that we couldn't go to Raphael and just went back to our accommodation. If you play hard, you won't have the energy to go back🥲
7. Reasons for recommendation
Personally, Potato Head and Finns weren't our style. We can only play when we know the song well, so it was hard for us to play to EDM that we didn't know well. So we were more disappointed than we thought and thought it wasn't fun, but we moved to Motel Maxicola and were able to play again within 30 minutes of coming in🥲
For those who don't like EDM that much like us, this place would be better (and Finns was not as sanitary as we thought... we were scared and moved in ㅠㅠ)
Of course, since it's a club, we spent about 50,000-60,000 won here, but personally, I had the most fun time in Seminyak🌟
