Walk along the shore of Kanemori Warehouse in the direction of Mt. Hakodate Cable Car, and slowly go up Hachimanzaka Slope to reach the Motomachi Foreigners Church area. Yasaka Slope is a gentle slope with a stone slab surface and red leaves planted on both sides. Looking ahead is the Hakodate Harbor, which is a picturesque scenery. There are many churches for foreigners in the Motomachi area: the Russian Orthodox Church with a white base and blue roof that looks like a fairy tale house; the Anglican Church with a white base and red roof that looks like a cross-shaped hat; and the Roman Catholic Cathedral with traditional Gothic architecture. Heading towards Motomachi Park, you will pass by the oldest Funama Shrine in Hokkaido. The torii at the entrance is said to be made of warship materials. On one side of the park is the #OldHakodateCitizens'Association, which is full of European colonial style. The whole building is decorated in gold and blue, elegant and gorgeous. It was once the residence of Crown Prince Taisho when he came to Hakodate. Every time I go to a place, I will learn about its relevant history. Hakodate, formerly known as Hakodate, is located in the south of Hokkaido. It is one of the first three international trade ports in Japan, along with Yokohama and Nagasaki, and they were opened at the same time. I have finally set foot in all three trade ports. They all have exotic atmospheres but different characteristics (Nagasaki will be shared in the Kyushu section), and the areas around Hachimanzaka and Motomachi Park are full of exotic buildings. These buildings are all on the slope at the foot of Mt. Hakodate, so the view is particularly open (foreigners really appreciate it). Hachimanzaka and the tram passing by give it a cinematic feel, but there are cars on the road, so be careful not to disturb others when taking photos. Near Motomachi Park are the old British Consulate, Hakodate Orthodox Church, Anglican Church, etc., as well as Japanese-style mansions. Because Hokkaido is closer to Russia, this is the first time I have seen an Orthodox church. We were just wandering around in this area, but I felt so proud. As a result, many traders from Russia, China and Western countries moved to Hakodate. Motomachi, at the foot of Mount Hakodate, became a district favored among the new foreign residents. Many foreign-looking buildings remain in the area today. Among the most famous are the Russian Orthodox Church, the Old British Consulate, the Chinese Memorial Hall, the prefectural government's former branch office building and the old Hakodate Public Hall.

I went to Motomachi Park in Hakodate, Hokkaido. It's on a slight hill, so you can see the cityscape and the sea. The former Hokkaido Prefectural Government Hakodate Branch Office building is located in the park, and the building stands out against its pale green color.
