After about two hours of climbing we finally reached our goal, one of the highest points in the Armenian Highlands - The Southern peak of mount Aragats 🏔 It was a long and hard journey but definitely worth all that. I must say that if you are in Armenia it definitely go for it, also you can enjoy delicious food by the lake, visit the Arshakid Mausoleum, Amberd, Vahramashen Church, the alphabet park and the Tegher Monastery. Ideally I would suggest you to stay in one of many resorts and spend at least 3 days to be able to see everything without rushing. Mount Aragats is the highest point in Armenia with its Northern peak - 4,090 m (13,420 ft) a live the seal level. We were climbing the Southern peak —3,888 m (12,756 ft) above the sea level. One of my dreams was to climb Aragats and here I am looking at the top of Aragats ready to get all the way up to the top. Aragats is four-peaked volcano massif in Armenia. The northern summit is 4,090 m (13,420 ft) above sea level, and it is the highest point of the Lesser Caucasus and Armenia. Me and my group, we climbed the Southern one which is 3,888 m (12,756 ft). We arrived very early in the morning and started our long journey.
