Since I hadn't done any hiking as an adult, I opted for an extremely beginner-friendly mountain. Mount Hiwada, which reportedly takes just an hour to climb one way, lived up to its reputation. I reached the summit quickly and easily. However, there were some rugged sections along the trail, so light gear is definitely not recommended! Personally, I only had running shoes, and the muddy patches from the previous day's rain made me slip a little. 💦 That said, I saw families with young children, people hiking with their dogs, and even trail runners—all enjoying the mountain in their own way and at their own pace.
