Tochigi 🇯🇵 Mount Nasu
The northernmost active volcano in Tochigi Prefecture, it is the main peak of the Nasu Mountains. White smoke is still being emitted. You can take the cable car to the 8th to 9th stations and enjoy a 360-degree view of the scenery. The hiking trail to the top of the mountain is well maintained, and both families and beginners can enjoy hiking. From the top of the mountain, you can have a panoramic view of the entire Kanto Plain.
At the foot of Mt. Chausu-dake, you can enjoy fresh green in summer and red maple leaves in autumn. Take the cable car to the summit station and it will take about 40 to 50 minutes to reach the top of Chausu-dake. If the weather is clear, you will have the opportunity to see the dreamy sea of clouds and the white smoke erupting from the active volcano, which is very impressive. #2024TravelReview

#tripdomestictravel
I went on a trip to Nasu, Tochigi Prefecture.
Taking the Nasu Ropeway🚡
and climbing Mt. 𝖲𝖳𝖠𝖱𝖳 from the foothills station
It was a little cloudy when I arrived at Ushigakubi, but as I walked little by little,
the vibrant autumn leaves came into view😆✨
Ubagadaira is surrounded by mountains with autumn leaves 360° and is a panoramic view spot📸
The autumn leaves were at their best and the view was spectacular😭🙏✨
I've wanted to see this view for a long time, and finally this year I was able to go😀🙌
The autumn leaves were at their best and I was moved by how beautiful they were.
Seeing such an impressive view makes your heart calm.

Mount Nasu, also known as Mount Chausu, is one of the region’s most iconic active volcanoes.
The course starts with a scenic ride on the Nasu Ropeway up to the mountain's Ninth Station (the waypoint marking the ninth stage of the hike). From here, it is a 50-minute climb to the summit of Mount Chausu. You can ramble around the crater’s edge and scan the rest of the Nasu mountain range, including Mount Asahi’s dramatic rock face and the summit of Mount Sanbonyari. The rising peaks of the Aizu region can be seen in the distance. After hiking the course, consider a long soak in one of Nasu’s many hot springs.
