It was a weekend trip to Amsterdam, Netherlands 🇳🇱 Amsterdam is one of those cities where every corner seems to offer a perfect photo opportunity. From its iconic canals to vibrant street life, it’s a photographer’s dream 📸 We started our trip by walking along the picturesque canals of Amsterdam, especially the Canal Belt. The reflections of the historic buildings in the water were just perfect for photos 🙌 The area is also full of charming houseboats that add to the scenic beauty. If you’re a photography enthusiast, don’t miss the opportunity to capture the elegant canal-side homes with their beautiful, narrow facades 😍 We then explored the Jordaan district, known for its quaint streets, local boutiques, and cozy cafes ☕️ The peaceful vibe here makes it ideal for capturing the local charm. We snapped shots of the unique doors, flower-filled windows 🌺 and the stunning canals that wind through the neighborhood. 📍Canal Belt Amsterdam, 1017 AA, Netherlands We also wandered through Vondelpark, one of the most beautiful parks in Amsterdam. The park is full of scenic spots, lush green lawns, tranquil ponds, and artistic sculptures. The park’s mix of nature and urban life makes it a great place to capture both the serenity of the landscape and the vibrancy of people enjoying the outdoors 🙌 We also visited the Rijksmuseum nearby, where the grandeur of the building itself is worth photographing, especially during golden hour when the sun sets over its stunning architecture. The rows of flowers make for amazing close-up shots, and the market itself has a lively and charming vibe that captures the essence of Dutch culture 🙌 Lastly, we went to Rembrandtplein, a lively square surrounded by cafes and restaurants. #europetrip Amsterdam 3-Day Travel Guide Day 1 I took easyJet and the flight time was about 1 hour. I arrived at 9 am, but there were a lot of people queuing at customs. After leaving the airport, don't take a taxi from the airport. Most of them will charge you a 10% service fee and say it's normal here Then I ate at Fulu Restaurant and went to the Van Gogh Museum in the afternoon. The overall experience was good because the number of people was controlled and most of the venues were quiet ‼ ️Note that you must grab the tickets a few days in advance or check the official website at 4/5 pm the day before to see that the tickets will be released Day 2 I went to Keukenhof Park and bought a round-trip ticket from RAI. It was really delicious Day 3 In the morning, I went straight to the central train station and bought tickets to Zaandam → Windmill Village → and then back to Amsterdam. Zaandam really doesn’t need to look at any map. Walking out of the train station is a good place to take pictures. Going forward, there is a small market selling fried fish and fried shrimp. They are very fresh and very cheap. I just showed off two boxes and ate too much Next, the windmill village is also very beautiful. There is a place to rent bicycles when you get out of the train, but it only accepts cash. Those who want to experience riding a bicycle, remember to bring your own. #Train Before leaving Amsterdam for Paris, if you have purchased a first-class ticket on the Eurostar, you can go to the VIP lounge at Amsterdam Central Station to have a cup of coffee and some snacks before departure. The journey took about three and a half hours. I have to say that the Eurostar is really fast, with a maximum speed of 436 km/h. Riding it feels like flying 😆😆😆. It only takes 3 and a half hours to reach Paris. If you are worried about being hungry, don't worry, there is a restaurant on the bus, but the price is not cheap🫠. It is recommended to bring your own food and drinks on board. In addition, there is internet and sockets on the train. 👋🏻 First post here! Had to drop by this city after Tomorrowland 2024 since it was only a 3-hour train ride away from Brussels. Totally worth it! 1. Canal cruise boarding point just a 10 min walk from Central station 2. Hotel de l’europe 3. Random seagull?? waiting for free food from tourists 🤣 4. Streets of Amsterdam Central with the good ol’ tram. 5. Stroopwafel from Albert Cuyp. I felt that there was no point paying a premium at famous tourist shops in Central (7€ vs 3-4€). It is the capital of the Netherlands. There are many beautiful canals. Everyone must come here once. People here are very chill. Most of them use bicycles as transportation. There are restaurants of every nationality and every zone. The service is good, fast, clean and delicious. Hotels, hostels, camping are all over the city. We came in early December. It was very cold. How to get there You can take a spinter from Schiphol Airport to Zandaam. When you come to Amsterdam, be sure to rent a bike and explore the city. Some must-visit tourist attractions include the Anne Frank House, the Van Gogh Museum, and the Rijksmuseum. However, my favorite activity is sitting by the canal and enjoying the city's leisurely atmosphere. This trip was very spontaneous, which unfortunately meant that there were no tickets available at the Van Gogh Museum (I recommend booking online in advance). The main attraction I wanted to see was the Anne Frank House, one of the most historically significant sites in Amsterdam and a must-visit for tourists from around the world. This site documents the life of a Jewish girl who, during World War II, hid with her family and friends in a secret annex to escape the Nazis, writing her famous diary during this time. The original design has been preserved, allowing visitors to deeply experience the fear and loneliness they felt during that period. It was a heavy experience, but it also made us reflect on the importance of peace. :( Amsterdam is truly a city full of freedom and multiculturalism, with unique charm in every corner. A little funny [Diamond Museum] What surprised me was the skeleton decorated with diamonds. I think it's an animal because it has canine teeth, but it was spinning around in a small glass room with mood songs playing😅 I didn't take any photos, but the tennis racket and the crown with a big diamond were also worth seeing. [Anne Frank House] The hiding place where Anne actually lived has been turned into a museum✨ You buy tickets at time intervals, so you enter at the designated time. You can listen to detailed explanations of each room in the audio guide, and you can enter the hidden room where the bed and kitchen were by climbing the stairs hidden behind the bookshelf. I cried when I saw the real diary. Photography is not allowed inside the house, but you can take a photo of the front of the long, narrow house with its nameplate from the canal. It was a shame that the West Church, where Anne listened to the bells, was under construction. The audio guide is free and can be given to you at the entrance. I had about 5 hours to spare, so I went to downtown Amsterdam. Among the traditional Dutch snacks, Stroopwafel, which is a waffle with caramel syrup between them, is famous. You can taste the stroopwafel on the spot at Stroopperie near Amsterdam Central Station. A basic stroopwafel costs 7 euros, and they bake the waffle as soon as you order it and pour warm caramel syrup on it. It's so sweet that it's perfect for two people to share. It's freshly baked, so the outside is crispy and the inside is filled with warm caramel, so the texture is good. Stroopperie is worth a visit during your trip to Amsterdam, as it sells not only stroopwafels but also Dutch specialties like cheese.

The train will leave you in the main area where you can enjoy the AMS vibes. Few of the things I have done were: -Watching the boat rides while eating one of the most food in Amsterdam: French fries with local mayo! Absolutely amazing and delicious! -Buying souvenirs: I optioned to buy local Gouda cheeses, waffles, and chocolates! You may want to stop either at the airport or at any local stores since prices are pretty similar. - Stop at local coffee shops to enjoy a beer or to try any of their local stuff! - Visit Museums: you can option for Anne frank, or Van Gough. 💰Average Price per Person: Honestly food is not expensive, but they don’t have very good choices in my option. So enjoy more the street food!

1) A’dam Lookout is a spectacular tower holding the highest swing in Europe. This is a very affordable and extremely worthwhile experience, to feel like you are flying with your friend or partner beside you! The views from the tower alone are worthwhile if you don’t fancy braving the swing. Also, if you’re a group of three, one of you will get to go twice! As A’dam is over on the Northern side of the city, not everyone realises that access is very simple. There’s a regular free ferry that crosses the canal, accessible around the back of central station. While you’re there, it’s also worth checking out the EYE film museum right next door! 2) Muiderslot castle. Muiderslot is easily missed by visitors to the city as it lies on the outskirts in Muiden, and is waterlocked, but it this historical treasure is well worth a visit. Built in 1370 by the Duke of Bavaria, it is one of the best preserved medieval castles I’ve ever seen. Although it is technically accessible by road, the easiest (and most fun) way to get there is taking the bus to Ijberg then boarding the Amsterdam Tourist Ferry's jetty. Travel there and back included, you’ll have a 4 hour trip to explore this beautiful castle and listen to the audio tour recounting its fascinating history. You can also explore the vast gardens and grounds. 3) Hortus botanicus is often missed in favour of the Amsterdam zoo, but it is actually one of the worlds OLDEST botanical gardens.
