The temple
The temples in the rice fields, the little-known niche spots in Bali
Kawa Mountain is the largest cave relic in Bali. Built in the 11th century, the Kawei Mountain is composed of ten rock carvings and is built across the river. . Each sarcophagus balance is 8 meters high and is embedded in the rock face. These ruins were built in the 11th century. King Anak Wungsu chose to build a meditation grotto. After the death of the king, later generations built more than a dozen Buddhist sarcophagi for him and his family to commemorate. To reach these sarcophagi, you need to walk over 270 steps and cross the path through the rice fields to get there, so be prepared for the hard work. The Pakerisan River flows down the mountain and flows through the temple to form a cascade of small waterfalls. It has local special features: terraces, temples, landscapes, ruins, etc. It is really beautiful from any angle and is one of the preferred spots of lonelyplanet.
In fact, in addition to historical sites, the natural scenery of Kaweishan also gave us a lot of surprises. Canyons, rivers, and jungles are hidden in the mountains, like a secret garden. Here, climbing the mountain is not boring, both sides are beautiful terraces, the nature is unique and open and fresh. The far-sightedness is deep and shallow green, and it is accustomed to the reinforced concrete jungle to block the line of sight. At this point we have to sigh that this is the real heart and soul! Climbing to the bottom of the mountain, passing through a door is the relic area. There are four 8-meter-high granite stone statues built to commemorate the king's four pets. At dusk, the ancient remains are left out, and almost no one cares, adding a desolation and awkwardness. The sea is mulberry, the object is human, and the angular edges of the stone are weathered and smoothed by the years. Once that period of history, it has long gone.
