The Geometric Poetry of Industrial Heritage ~ The Kapok Hotel Shaoxing
The Kapok Hotel Shaoxing, part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, will be the first Kapok hotel to open under The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand, marking a new level of collaboration between China Resources and Hyatt Group.
Located in the Shaoxing Tiandi complex in Yuecheng District, the hotel is surrounded by commercial and artistic facilities. The building was originally the Huayue Microelectronics Factory—Shaoxing 871 Chip Factory, and the design team led by Ju Bin will breathe new life into this industrial heritage. The interior space exudes a similar ambiance to the recently opened Alila Shanghai and The Unbound Collection by Hyatt Wuxi (even the artwork in the guest rooms remains unchanged).
The hotel is expected to feature 90 elegant guest rooms (starting from 45 sqm) and suites (starting from 72 sqm), blending geometric art with natural textures. Each room is equipped with a Dyson hairdryer, Salvatore Ferragamo bath amenities, Tivoli Audio music systems, Nespresso coffee machines, and Teastone classic tea sets.
For dining, Awake Mountain Lobby Lounge offers a cozy retreat where guests can enjoy the atrium view while indulging in afternoon tea or evening cocktails. The Zen Pavilion and Orchid Pavilion Tea Rooms, showcasing modern Chinese aesthetics, provide an elegant and tranquil social space. The Little Nanyang specialty restaurant, facing Shaoxing Tiandi 871 Avenue, serves three meals a day, blending local Shaoxing flavors with creative Northeastern cuisine to guide guests in exploring regional tastes.
Public areas include a multifunctional hall, two meeting rooms, and an outdoor courtyard lawn, blending Eastern elegance. Additional facilities include a gym, yoga room, children's club, and the Shaoxing Tiandi complex. The hotel also features a "Story Curator" to offer guests a full schedule of hotel and local activities, including daily art lighting ceremonies.
