The Mandiri Museum is a Dutch heritage building which was converted into a banking museum.
Initially this museum was the Nederlandsche Handel-Maatschappij (NHM) or Factorji Batavia Building. The building was the office of a Dutch trading company which later developed into a banking company.
This building was founded in 1929 by the Dutch.
To build this, the Dutch recruited two men from their country as architects. The two men named J.J.J. de Bruyn, A.P. Smits, and C. Van de Linde.
In 1960, after Indonesia's independence, this building changed its ownership rights to become Indonesian property and On October 2, 1998 the NHM building was officially used as the Bank Mandiri Museum.
Inside the Bank Mandiri Museum there are many collections related to the world of banking.
The collections are like a teller's table that reaches 122 meters in length, the first ledger used to record NHM's various financial reports at that time. Apart from that, there are also banking scales, ATMs, paper cutters, and various typewriters here.
