Here’s the summary of my 4 days 3 nights Danang itinerary: Day 1: Stroll along Danang city. Visit the pink cathedral, Danang Dragon Bridge and also have some Vietnamese food and coffee! Day 2: A day trip to Hoi An. We took the taxi which was about a 45 minutes ride from Danang city, pretty easy and convenient there’s no need to book ahead. We experienced the coconut basket boat ride which was so much fun. Head over to the ancient town and spent the entire afternoon strolling around and got more coffee! See the lights and lanterns when the night falls. How pretty! Day 3: One day trip to Bana Hills which was inclusive of the Golden Bridge, French Village and Fantasy Park. Pretty cool place, very instagrammable with cool weather. Do bring along jacket if you’re visiting during the ‘winter’ season. Day 4: Stroll along My Khe beach, have breakfast at the hotel and depart to airport.

#wheretogo My Khe Beach is probably one of Da Nang City’s most famous beach, known for it’s 10km coast line and located right at the city The government had spent efforts to keep the beach clean and free admission. The lack of strong waves also made it really safe for recreational activities and kids. We found the beach a perfect complement to our hotel stay in Da Nang city because there is no lack of hotels for you to choose from. And every hotel will catch you the view of the My Khe beach. Our hotel was just a 5 mins walk away. To me it’s something quite rare as if it is other cities, this prime view would probably cost us thousands of dollars.

It is a long white beach that stretches about 10km from the southern tip of Son Tra Peninsula to the Marble Mountains. It looks like a different beach, but it is so big that it is often called My Khe Beach🤣 Compared to Bohol in the Philippines, Phuket or Pattaya in Thailand, the water is not so clear that you can enjoy snorkeling, so there are not many activities. Da Nang's My Khe Beach sits high at the top of my list for best beaches in Southeast Asia. It's extremely clean and accessible (minutes' walk from central locations), lined with coconut trees. My Khe Beach is a 9km-long stretch of pristine, fine sand, starting from the Son Tra peninsula, separated from seaside districts by just a road. It is lined with sun beds and beach bars, while luxury/boutique hotels are on the other side of the road. This beach is fantastic - Da Nang is quite cooling, so while the sun is out, it's possible to get a tan without perspiring! The sand is fabulous - fine, clean, and barely any rocks/shells, making it much safer. The slopes are gentle, and one can walk up to 50m into the sea and the water is only shoulder-high. It's also not too cold, and the waves are not too high. During high tide, My Khe Beach is also a good spot for surfing and other water activities. It's a really great place to spend a relaxing day at. Tips for visiting My Khe Beach: 1. Sunbeds are VND40.000 each (no time limit) 2. Go farther up north of the beach for less crowds/restaurants. It is clean and has many luxury hotels just across the road, making it an ideal location to stay when visiting Da Nang. Day time the beach also looks great. There are many morning swimmers and so night swimmers. Well lighted even at night. 🚗 Getting There - My Khe Beach is located in Danang, a big city in central Vietnam. Danang International airport is located just 20 minutes drive from the beach. 🏝Attractions - My Khe Beach has beach seats rental, floaty rental, surfboards and standup paddle rental. You can buy some soft drinks, hang on the beach and enjoy. The beach is very crowded at 5-7am during sunrise when locals are exercising before it gets got. Hotels - there are dozens of hotels right across the street from the beach. You can book a decent room starting from 300.000VND and a good 4-5 Star room starting from 1.000.000VND. Food & Restaurants - unfortunately there are not as many good and proper restaurants as you’d wish for, but you can always order food at your hotel or take a short taxi ride to Danang City Center. My favorite restaurant in Danang City Center is Limoncello. Take a walk on the long white sandy My Khe Beach, swim in the sea and drink a coconut while relaxing in a beach seat. Come to Da Nang, stay at the hotel on the edge of Meixi Beach and walk for five minutes. So on the second day, I started early and went to the beach to watch the sunrise. 🇻🇳Review of a 4-day, 3-night trip to Vietnam by myself (I did the trip myself) with a budget of 10,000 baht (3 people) -------------------- - Round-trip ticket price 4,455 baht per person / 3 people = 13,365 baht - Accommodation cost in Hoi An 1 night / Da Nang 2 nights: 1,113 + 1,754 = 2,867 baht (Accommodation as advertised and the staff provided the best service) - Cost of 3 SIM cards = 483 baht (ordered from the Orange app for 5 days) - Cost of grab car / taxi to travel to all places in Vietnam = 1,216 baht - Cost of parking to leave before going to the airport overnight = 720 baht - Cost of gas from Kanchanaburi to Bangkok 1,000 baht Total, if it exceeds the budget, you have to pay an additional 444 baht per person. The trip ended with a total of 10,444 baht. ------------------- We spent a lot. We ate a burger at the Danang airport without checking the price and ended up paying a little over 1,200 baht. It was beautiful, but it definitely did not exceed the budget. ------------------- Summary of recommendations - For currency exchange, I recommend exchanging at gold shops in Danang. You can exchange 1,000 baht from the airport for transportation and emergencies. When you get there, you can go exchange it. I recommend exchanging at gold shops near Han Market in Danang. - Buy a SIM card from the Orange app. Inform the shop on the day of your flight that the shop will open it for you. When you arrive at the airport, you can change the SIM card and use it right away. The price is not expensive. - If you are a frequent traveler, I recommend staying one night at a time. Hoi An, Danang, Bana Hills, or if Bana Hills is expensive, you can stay on My Khe Beach. Honestly, you can stay anywhere because you can have a Grab car take you anywhere. The app is easy to use. It is a Thai app. The money is deducted from the card you have linked. - When using a Grab car, the driver will often chat with you. And negotiate for us to hire him to take us on a tour and use the service. This will be cheaper than the app, but it depends on your preference. --------------------- Please read the details of each day under the picture. I'm diligent in typing... I set aside three days in Da Nang, one to visit Hoi An, one to ride the most beautiful mountain road, and one to wander around. There are still many places to visit in Da Nang in one day. I have compiled a route map, and you can follow my map. 😄 The route is in the second picture: 1⃣️ Han Market: A famous local small commodity market. The first floor sells all kinds of snacks, and the second floor has many tailor shops where you can customize Ao Dai. My sister had one made to measure, which took 30 minutes and cost 370,000 VND. We thought we were not good at bargaining, and it should be cheaper if you can bargain. 2⃣️ Da Nang Cathedral: It is very close to Han Market, only a 3-minute walk. The building is light pink, and I found that there are many pink buildings in Vietnam. 3⃣️ 4P's Pizza: After picking up the Ao Dai, we went to this restaurant. This pizza restaurant is very popular in Vietnam, and there are branches in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City. The most famous is the cheese pizza. You can order the four-layer one. The five-layer cheese pizza has blue cheese, which I think is a bit strong. 4⃣️ Da Nang Fine Arts Museum: The first floor is a special exhibition, and the second floor and above are regular exhibits. I think the exhibits are not inferior to those in the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts, but the exterior structure is definitely not as good as the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts. 🎫 20,000 VND 5⃣️ Cham Museum: The civilization of Brahmanism. This museum is a must-visit and is very worthwhile. 🎫 60,000 VND 6⃣️ Tan Coffee: I love this industrial-style coffee shop. It is very photogenic, and the corn coffee is delicious. I will write a separate article to praise it. 7⃣️ Bep Cuon: A Vietnamese restaurant. Maybe we have eaten too much Vietnamese food these days, so we think this restaurant is average and not recommended. 8⃣️ My Khe Beach: After a full meal, take a stroll along the beach. The sand is very fine and soft. 9⃣️ Dragon Bridge: You may pass by it many times during the day, but there is a fire-breathing show at 9 pm from Friday to Sunday. The fire-breathing level is a bit like a coughing fire dragon 😂. You can wait and see if you have time.

This is my second time here. Both times the sight was simply spectacular. I love the scenery. Watching the waves and beautiful sunset were simply therapeutic. This is a good place to take photos with reflection as you wait for the waves to hit the beach and subside. It is also a vibrant place. There were like a Zumba session in the evening when I was there. Passerby just stop and join in. Fun
