Gunma🇯🇵Myogi Shrine
The majestic Myogi Shrine is located at the eastern foot of Baiyun Mountain, the main peak of Myogi Mountain, which is famous for its strange rocks. Old cedar trees can be seen growing in the area. Since ancient times, it has been famous for enshrining gods for good luck, business prosperity, academic achievement, relationship, farming and silkworms, and has attracted many believers from the Kanto region to come and worship. Starting with the main shrine, Karamon Gate, and Somon Gate, which are designated as important cultural properties by the country, the buildings built from the early to mid-Edo period in the area tell of the rich Edo style and grandeur. The beauty of traditional Japanese architecture can be seen everywhere in the area, including huge stone walls about ten feet high and covered with moss. The Treasure Hall (formerly the Palace Hall) displays the treasures of the Suta Shrine. From here you can see the endless Kanto Plain, which also creates a perfect Japanese-style borrowed landscape garden. #2024TravelReview
