The exhibitions inside the castle provided a detailed account of the history and culture of the Ryukyu Kingdom, which was very enlightening. After soaking in the culture, we went to American Village. With its exotic atmosphere, it felt as if we were in a small American town. There are a variety of shops, restaurants, and entertainment facilities. Take the monorail to Asahibashi Station and walk for about 20 minutes Or take bus No. 3 from Kokusai-dori to Seibumon Station and walk for 6 minutes. The main deities enshrined at Naminoue Shrine are Kumano Gongen, Hayatama Otoko (left shrine), and Kotokazu Otoko (right shrine), making it one of the eight major shrines in Ryukyu. The shrine is a traditional Ryukyu building, with the roof and beams in the red and orange colors unique to Okinawa. Two stone lions outside the main hall, with their fangs bared, guard the shrine. Naminoue Shrine is located in Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture. It is the most prominent of the 'Ryukyu Eight Shrines' and the only one situated by the sea, serving as the main guardian shrine of Okinawa. Perched on a cliff, it offers a panoramic view of Naha Port. Historically, Naminoue Shrine has been a sacred place for praying for maritime safety and abundant harvests. During the Ryukyu Kingdom era, the king would lead dignitaries to worship here, praying for the peace of the nation.

During a business trip to Okinawa, I stopped by Naminoue Shrine to get a goshuin (stamp). The atmosphere was lovely and I could feel its power. Prayers are said to be for success in love, good relationships, and safe childbirth, and as my sister was due to give birth, I prayed for a safe childbirth! The hotel I stayed at this time was Tokyu Stay Okinawa Naha, and the view from breakfast was amazing! The room even had a washing machine with dryer and a microwave, and there was a Don Quijote on the first floor of the building. I was able to buy Okinawan souvenirs for dinner at Don Quijote, which was very convenient!
