You can check out the kapok flowers near Shamian at the foot of the bridge. ② After crossing the bridge, walk straight across the road to Cultural Park and check out the kapok flowers in Xige Garden and the central square. ③ Exit from the main entrance of Cultural Park, cross the pedestrian bridge over Renmin South Road, and arrive at Yanjiang West Road. Among them, the century-old site of the Guangdong Postal Administration is one of the landmarks that tourists must visit when visiting Changdi. When it was a postal exhibition hall, the first floor was open to the public to display some special stamps, but later it was closed for a long time. Last year, Cartier contracted the building to hold a jewelry exhibition. I went up to the second floor for the first time and saw more areas, but the original walls of the building were also blocked by the exhibition. I only felt that it was actually very large inside, but I couldn’t see its true appearance at all. But finally! Recently I received a very exciting news that the Postal Expo will be revitalized and reopened as the Xiti Art and Culture Center! What attracted me most was the unparalleled river view from the balconies on the second and third floors! Look up and you will see the elegant Ionic columns, and look down at the Pearl River while drinking coffee - just thinking about it makes me feel great! The process of repairing historical buildings is cumbersome and requires huge investment. The manager is really passionate and willing to take on the responsibility of revitalizing it. When you come to Guangzhou to see the night view, many people may recommend the Guangzhou Tower But in fact, the night view that truly represents Guangzhou is along West Road! We walked from Sacred heart Cathedral down to the river, and along the riverside to Shamian Island. This historic street of buildings was very impressive. We passed the Nanfang building, which is 100 years old this year and used to be the tallest building in all of China even though its only 12 floors high. Then we walked past the old customs and mail museum, and the Venice and Aiqun hotels. The taiyinglou Di'an Assembly is a very interesting building with a cool history, it has been converted into a coffee shop. All of these buildings and Shaming Island are popular spots for couple's wedding photos so expect to see many photoshoots going on. #staycation #historicculture
