The National Diet Building is located in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo. It is the meeting place of the Japanese Parliament. The foundation stone was laid earlier on January 30, 1920 (Taisho 9), but after natural and man-made disasters such as wars and earthquakes, it was announced on November 7, 1936. built. The entire building of the National Assembly Hall is a large white building of modern style, symmetrical left and right, with the House of Representatives on the left and the Senate on the right, each with three floors. In the main entrance of the Diet Building, there are bronze statues of Ito Hirobumi, Okuma Shigenobu, and Itagaki Taisuke. Around the parliament are the Prime Minister's Residence, the House of Parliamentarians, the Press Conference Hall and the National Assembly Library. This is one of Tokyo's well-known sightseeing spots. The Senate is open to the public on ordinary days when no formal meetings are held, but the House of Representatives is generally closed.
