I asked the lady at the tourist information center next to the intercity bus terminal how to get to the museum. You can get to the museum from the intercity bus terminal by express🚌109 or other lines. The bus stop has a long name, and I learned that the Municipal Museum of Art is on the way. There are several squares and buildings between the bus stop and the museum, but I found the Contemporary Art Museum right away. When I went inside, various objects were displayed in chronological order and by material. Next to the museum, there was a commercial facility with restaurants and fashion stores, and it was crowded with many people spending lunch on a rainy day off. On the way to the bus🚌 stop on the way back, I found a stylish tourist information center, and in addition to the Municipal Museum of Art, I was told about the highlights of Cheongju and got a guidebook to go home.

This museum is located at Jongno-gu and MMCA (National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art) and they are open from 10am onwards, sometimes close at 6pm and sometimes close at 9pm. You can find out the actual operating hours on their website. If you have just visit the Gyeongbokgung palace then you can come over here because it is within the same area. In MMCA, there are several galleries and you can buy an all-pass ticket to enter all the galleries. While looking for an indoor date spot during my trip to Cheongju, I visited the Cheongju National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. The museum was really spacious and comfortable, there was a lot to see, and parking was convenient. Admission is free, and you can get tickets on site without a reservation. There are exhibition halls on the 1st to 5th floors, and the 6th floor is the rooftop. There are many works of art on the 1st floor, and there are videos with explanations and chairs where you can sit and watch. The 2nd floor has the Lee Kun-hee Collection, and the 3rd floor has an open storage. You can really appreciate the works from various perspectives.
