Something that will make you want to know more and research more. A highly recommended place to visit if you are a new tourist in the Philippines. It is free of entry so you can just walk in there. The recently renovated National Museum of Natural History is a celebration of the richness of life in the Philippines. Located in Agrifina Circle in Rizal Park in the buzzing district of Ermita, Manila, the museum is a house to many artifacts and remains of unique cultural heritage showcasing the life and the ways of the first people that inhabited the Philippines. There are at least 12 galleries with permanent exhibitions that showcases a brief timeline of evolution through the fossils collected from different areas in the country Don't miss the Shell Philippines Centennial Courtyard, with its newly renovated centerpiece- the one share in the photographs, that which look like a tree trunk and opens up to a very bright ceiling. There are many fascinating creatures that once and still roam the Philippines, and it's great to know that those that have since been gone could be seen in their glory in an exhibit. I found my eyes inspecting all the displays and being more curious than before. How did these species live? How did they perish? What would be their impact on this planet if they were still existing? We’ve always been a fan of history that why went to the National Museum of Natural History. Little did we realize that this place is also Instagram worthy. Don’t worry, the entrance is completely free. You just need to formally register your name before entering. The architectural building and cool breeze inside the museum truly amazed us. There were interactive areas inside the museum which entertained people of all ages. We were amazed by the real life replicas inside. Moreover, there were clear historical summaries per area which made us more aware of our Philippines history. Truly made me proud to be a Filipino to see this! #museum

It's a lens into the inner working of past Filipino civilizations, weaving through many different time periods up to the recent past. Dont forget to stop into the many different exhibitions, after experiencing the spectacular entrance hall. Its a must for selfie-taking photo ops. From many geological formations to various animal species present in the Philippines, its a great place to immerse yourself into the diverse culture of Filipino people. Treat yourself and family to the museum, but don't forget to bring your vaccination certificate or card to gain entrance into this breathtaking city experience.

It is wonderful that a museum like this exists in the Philippines. With both interactive and informational displays and exhibits, there is no shortage of things to see and do here. I suggest spending at the very least an hour here, definitely more. I even suggest coupling it with visits to the National Museum of Fine Arts and National Museum of Anthropology which are just a few minutes away on foot. I have only traveled by myself a few times but it was very easy to meet new people worth touring the city with. Some things that I did were: Fort Santiago, Mall of Asia, museum of natural history, the fine arts museum, discovered Makati’s nightlife. In Manila you can do so many things for one hundred dollars. Everyone typically travels to Cebu or another beach location but to me exploring the city is way more fun. #travel #museums
