[Gifu Prefecture] The pond at Nemichi Shrine has become a hot topic as Monet's pond!
Itadori, Seki City, Gifu Prefecture.
Nemichi Shrine is a shrine that has recently become very popular.
The shrine itself is a deserted old shrine with no clear office or good fortune, but the pond in the grounds is surprisingly clear, and it became a hot topic because it looks like carp swimming in the air.
The contrast between the vivid carp and the water plants is reminiscent of "Monet's Water Lilies Pond" by the master of abstract painting, Claude Monet, and it has become even more popular, and it has now become one of Gifu's undisputed tourist attractions.
When I first visited six years ago,
the parking lot in front of the temple grounds was very narrow and there were not many tourists,
but now there are so many cars and tour buses that overtourism is being called for.
Parking lots 1 to 4 have been built.
In terms of size, it is a small shrine that you can visit in 10 minutes.
There is a small teahouse on the bank.
