From Ziplines to Mud Experiences! The Complete Guide to Phong Nha Ke Bang Dark Cave
Dark Cave is one of the main tourist attractions in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, located in Quang Binh Province in central Vietnam. Dark Cave is one of the many caves in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park that offers a special experience centered on activities and adventures. First discovered in 1990, this cave is a dark space where little light enters, and it retains its natural appearance. Inside the cave, limestone formations, mud pools, and mysterious natural landscapes combine to make exploring more fun. You can enjoy ziplining, kayaking, mud experiences, and even swimming in the nearby river, making it a place where you can have fun all day long.
As soon as I arrived at Dark Cave, I first tried ziplining, and the moment I rode the zipline to the cave entrance was really thrilling. Below the long zipline, an emerald blue river spread out, and I could feel the scenery with my whole body as I went down while cutting through the wind.
The highlight of Dark Cave is the mud experience! As you enter the cave, it gradually gets darker and darker, creating a mysterious atmosphere. Once you reach the mud pool, you can cover your entire body with soft mud. Mud is known to be good for the skin, so everyone happily participated. Since you move around the cave with a guide for safety, even beginners can enjoy it without any worries. At the end, you can exit the cave, wash off the mud in the river, and enjoy playing in the cool water.
