Location: Tian Tan Buddha at Ngong Ping 360, Hong Kong
Atmosphere: Visiting the Tian Tan Buddha was an unforgettable experience! Our trip was full of excitement and thrills from start to finish. The cable car ride to the top of the mountain was both thrilling and a bit scary, but the stunning scenery along the way made it worth the trip. When we saw the Big Buddha, we couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder. The cable car ride made the trip even more fun and adventurous.

Big Buddha, Ngong Ping, Hong Kong
Tian Tan Buddha or Big Buddha, the largest seated bronze Buddha statue in Hong Kong, is located in Ngong Ping Village.
The place to pray is in the circular square in front of the Big Buddha. The center is the smallest circle.
There are both bus and Ngong Ping cable car routes. There are regular cable cars, crystal cable cars, and crystal plus cable cars.
In addition to praying and asking for blessings, you can also walk around Ngong Ping Village.

The Big Buddha!
Impressive bronze statue of Buddha located at Ngong Ping in Lantau Island. We took the ferry from Central at Pier 6 to Mui Wo, it costs about 30~35 HKD for the fast one and we reached the Island in 30 minutes. We arrived at 8:00 a.m. and we were planning to take the bus number 2 to Ngong Ping but for our surprise the bus started working at 10 a.m. so we had to take the bus number 1 and change to bus number 23 in one of the last stations were they overlap.#bigbuddha #lantauisland #ngongping

If anyone comes to visit Hong Kong, activities and places that must not be missed at least once are to ride the Ngong Ping cable car, see the beautiful scenery of the vast Hong Kong Island, and walk up to pray for blessings from the sacred Tian Tan Buddha at Po Lin Monastery for good fortune. If anyone can walk, you can walk up the stairs to the top of the Big Buddha. But if anyone can't walk, don't worry, you can go pray for blessings at the circular plaza where you can stand facing the Big Buddha (It is said that many people have come to pray and gotten their wishes granted. Those who are into spirituality, go ahead.)
For the Ngong Ping AG cable car, you have to buy the cable car tickets in advance. When the day we booked, we can go and line up according to the tickets we bought. But if anyone wants to buy them at the cable car counter, you can do that too.
The day AG went was very lucky because the sky was clear and bright all over the sky. Even though there was a breeze, it wasn't too strong. So the whole time we were on the cable car, we got to sit and enjoy the beautiful view all the way. Very impressive ❤️

Worship the Big Buddha at Tian Tan Temple
#HongKongTravel Worship the Big Buddha at Tian Tan Temple on the mountain that you have to take a bus or cable car up to. We think this is another destination for those who travel to Hong Kong for the first time. It is convenient to travel and can easily plan your trip because it is close to the airport. For those who get off the plane in the morning, we recommend coming here before going to your accommodation in the city. You can leave your luggage at Citygate outlets.
There are 2 ways to get to this temple: take the Ngong Ping cable car or take the bus. We chose to take the bus there and then take the cable car back because we had to save some money. 🥹 The cable car is very expensive. It costs about 850 baht (but we bought it on Trip.com for about 680 baht.
For the bus, take bus number 23 at the bus depot near Citygate. The price is about 48 dollars (if you convert it to Thai baht, it is x5). It takes about half an hour to reach the top. The weather is very cold, my lady. We went on December 26th. The weather was about 14-15 degrees Celsius, but the wind felt like it was in the single digits. It's so cold and lonely, I recommend wearing a long-sleeved shirt and a sweater over it, it will help a lot.
Then walk up the stairs to the Big Buddha, it's quite windy, but as I said, the air is freezing and windy up there. Some places are quite quiet, you can take pretty good pictures, even though there are always tourists going up and down.

A must to go signtseeing in hongkong
A very last minute decision to go on the big Buddha! Never regret and it's a must go for the natural view and the grand Buddha.
Recommended to take the crystal cable car for 1 way and standard cable for way back.i went up quite late around 4pm , not many people so avoided sharing a car with others. enjoyed my sweet time with my beloved.
Tips :- book through trip.com is even cheaper and efficient.

Big Buddha 360
Visiting Ngong Ping Big Buddha in Hong Kong was an unforgettable experience, We took a taxi to reach the site, which was an adventure in itself. The statue is massive and awe-inspiring, surrounded by breathtaking views that still managed to impress despite the weather. The peaceful atmosphere at the site is perfect for reflection and offers a unique sense of tranquility. The journey there, although different than expected, added to the overall experience. It's a must-see for anyone traveling to Hong Kong, offering a memorable blend of adventure and serenity.
