Historic buildings
Renhe Temple is the main hall of the Shingon sect and is listed as a World Heritage Site. The temple's "Second King's Gate" was donated by Tokugawa Imamitsu, and the "Golden Hall" was built by relocating the Imperial Palace's Zicheng Pavilion. The Lingbao School Hall displays three bronze statues of Amitabha Buddha, a bronze statue of Ming Peacock King, and a total of 30 original lacquer paintings by Master Honghua. In addition to the classical five-story pagoda and Erwan Gate, there are the French Emperor's royal hall, Tang Gate, Chen Hall, Linming Hall, White Academy, and Black Academy of Renhe Temple. Other splendid sights include the Second King's Gate, the Imperial Palace Middle Gate, the five-story pagoda, the Shitendo ruins, the Kannon Hall, Ninwa Temple, and the pond and semi-demon-style garden built in the Edo period. Renhe Temple's Erwan Gate, Nanzen Temple, and Chion-in are also known as the three great gates of Kyoto, but the other two temples are Zen-style, and Renhe Temple is a pure and pure building. There are also many treasures hidden in the temple, including the three statues of Amitabha Buddha, the bronze statue of King Ming Peacock, the treasure chest of Bao'anhua lacquer paintings, and family records.
