However, unfortunately the exterior wall was under repair😭 (I think it's finished now) Instead, I was given a clear file with a picture of the exterior. First, I learned about the Nirayama Reverberatory Furnace at the museum and saw the real thing. Although most of it was covered with sheets, the remains of the furnace, which are a highlight, were visible. Although it looks shabby overall, I was deeply impressed by how important it was to the development of Meiji Japan. After the tour, I ate eel at a nearby restaurant and went home. The Nirayama Reverberatory Furnace is a World Heritage site located in Izu Nagaoka, Shizuoka Prefecture, that proves the history of the Industrial Revolution.
