Taketomi Island's West Pier is very crowded during the day. Wanting to enjoy it slowly and in peace, I took the first high-speed boat of the morning to the island. The only drawback was that the bicycle rental service wasn't open yet, so I had to walk 1.5km each way... I walked slowly around the island, where there were almost no tourists. After walking for about 20 minutes while enjoying the view, I arrived at the West Pier. There were no other tourists, so I had this magnificent view all to myself. All I could hear was the sound of the waves and the wind. It was a wonderful experience that made me think I'd like to go again at this time of day.

I went to Nishi-sanbashi Pier, which is a great spot for watching the sunset on Taketomi Island. It was designated a national tangible cultural property in 2005. It's a great spot for watching the sunset, but I couldn't see it because of the ferry time, so I went sightseeing around 2pm. It was a sunny day and the sea was beautiful.
