It gave a deeper insight into the legendary figure and how he’s been represented through the centuries. The cave tours beneath the castle were also fascinating, adding an adventurous and memorable element to the visit. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the on-site café was a nice spot to relax with a good selection of snacks and drinks. The only downside was the entrance fee, which felt a bit steep, especially for families, but overall, it was worth it for the experience. Whether you’re a history lover or just looking for a scenic and cultural afternoon in Nottingham, the castle is well worth a visit. ⏩ 🎫 The Nottingham Castleadmission tickets cost £15 per adult, with children 15 years & under going free. #uktrip We had a fantastic time at Nottingham Castle Museum & Art Gallery! It’s the perfect mix of art and history, set in a beautiful location with amazing views over the city. The art collection is really impressive, with a great mix of classic and modern works. We were lucky to catch the Claude Monet exhibition! Seeing Monet’s work up close, along with paintings from other famous Impressionist artists like Renoir and Pissarro, was an incredible experience. The history exhibits are just as good. The museum does a great job of telling Nottingham’s story, from medieval times to the present. There’s lots about Robin Hood, the castle’s past, and even some underground caves to explore! The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the whole place had a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. It’s easy to walk around, and there’s plenty to see without feeling overwhelmed. If you’re visiting Nottingham, this museum is a must-see! Whether you love art, history, or just exploring cool places, you won’t be disappointed. Entry price for adult £15 per person and additional £5 for the caves which takes around 45mins.

Walk from the Museum of Justice to the Olde Trip to Jerusalem, one of Britain’s oldest and most iconic pubs, steeped in folklore and history. Because of time constraints, I didn't go in and order a beer and sit for a while. Nottingham Castle is not too big, but there is a small museum inside, which is just right for people like me who don’t have much patience for visiting museums but still want to take a look. It’s partly about the history of Nottingham, and partly about the origins and legend of Robin Hood. A lot of information is also presented in the form of videos and stories, which is not boring at all. I really appreciate it! There is also a playground for kids to climb outdoors, and I found a place that looks like the place where Robin Hood meets his followers, sitting on the "Emperor Chair" and eating English dessert cream bun, sigh ~ Nottingham Castle admission fee is £12, unlimited entry throughout the year.
