I went to the fairy tale land [Warmth Forest]
Location: Nukumori no Mori
Address: 2949 Wajicho, Nishi-ku, Hamamatsu-shi, Shizuoka 431-1115
Not far from Tateyamadera Onsen on Lake Hamana, known as a tourist destination and hot spring resort, you pass through a residential area and suddenly find yourself in a small forest with a medieval-style building reminiscent of the world of Ghibli. This is Nukumori no Mori. It is run by a company called Nukumori Kobo, which was created by architect Shigeyoshi Sasaki.
In the forest, there is a general store like a stylish select shop, a restaurant selling sweets and light meals, and an owl cafe.
The main building, the Galleria, was originally Sasaki's home and was renovated, and when you visit, you will see a 15-minute video that explains his upbringing and the history of Nukumori no Mori. Regardless of the video, the courtyard from the Galleria is really beautiful, and although the admission fee is 300 yen, it is worth it.
