We chose Oaks Queenstown Shores Resort for our holiday, located at 327-343 Frankton Road. The hotel is not far from Queenstown city center, just a few minutes' drive away. The surrounding area is convenient for transportation, and the hotel also offers a free bus service, which is very thoughtful. The hotel is in a great location, right by the lake, with beautiful views of Lake Wakatipu from the room. The hotel has a modern decor style, and the reception hall is very grand, but the room facilities are a bit ordinary. When we checked in, we were greeted by enthusiastic reception staff who quickly helped us with the check-in process and provided us with a lot of information about Queenstown and the free bus service. We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment with two bedrooms and one bathroom, which was spacious enough. The room was well-equipped with a full kitchen, so we could cook for ourselves. The bed was very comfortable, and the mountain and lake views outside the window were very relaxing. However, perhaps because it was winter, the underfloor heating in the room was not very effective, and the kitchen equipment was a bit old and needed updating. There are also some nice restaurants around the hotel, such as Fogo Brazilian BBQ Experience and The Taj Indian Kitchen, which are worth a try.
