Observatory Hill is the highest point in Sydney's city center, offering a 360-degree panoramic view of the Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House, and more. ✅Harbour Bridge: From Observatory Hill, walk down the hill along Argyle St for 10 minutes to reach the south entrance of the Harbour Bridge. Note that the pedestrian walkway is on the east side of the Harbour Bridge, while the west side is for bicycles. Built in 1932, the Harbour Bridge is approximately 1.1 km long and is an all-steel, single-arch, through-arch bridge, witnessing the century-old history of Sydney Harbour. The way the sky turned orange across the vast landscape was truly beautiful, and I felt like my soul was being cleansed. In addition, there was a group that came to do a workout along the way, which was a bit of a unique experience lol. Their energetic appearance contrasted with the calm sunset scenery, which was also an interesting moment. Lovely old trees, some well maintained grass and a scattering of Park benches make this a picnic destination in good weather. I went with a group of friends to sketch the view and the were two separate catered picnics, a couple of girls filming a dancer routine in the rotunda, people scattered around drawing and reading, and innumerable others strolling or relaxing in the grass. Observatory Hill Park - Another place to chill with a great view! It is a semi-small park where you can see the view of Sydney and the Harbour Bridge. - Very easy to get to. Take the tram to Circular Quay and follow Google Maps. - I recommend going in the evening before the sun sets for about 1 hour. Prepare a mat and some snacks to have a picnic. The weather is nice and it's so chill. Another thing is that I recommend going on weekdays when there are fewer people. I guarantee that once you go, you will definitely go back again. I spent a few days in Sydney and I loved it! The Harbour Bridge is one of the main attractions and I really enjoyed traveling to different locations around the city to photograph it against different backdrops. Here were my favorite locations: 1️⃣ Observatory Hill Rotunda - In my opinion this is the best viewpoint in Sydney! The best part is that it is walking distance to the Sydney CBD! 2️⃣ Blues Point Reserve - Another good viewpoint but you’ll need to take public transport. Take either the T1 or T9 train 🚇 to North Sydney and then walk for about 20 minutes down Blue Points Road. Or you can take the ferry ⛴️ from Circular Quay to McMahon’s Point! 3️⃣ Mrs Macquaries Point - Another popular spot near Sydney’s Botanical Gardens 🪴 After soaking up the skyline it’s a nice place to take a walk and admire the variety of trees and flowers on display! 4️⃣ Sydney Harbor Bridge - The walk across the bridge is worth it. Take some really cool pictures of the bridge as well as the city below.
