The hotel is luxuriously decorated and the place is very large. It is connected to a small lake outside. There are European-style buildings outside the lake. If you didn’t say it, you would think you were in a small town in Eastern Europe. The next day, I took a small train traveling through the mountains. The green foothills came into view. I took a breath of fresh air and immediately felt refreshed. After getting off the train, we arrived at the Four Seasons Flower Field. If we feel tired, we can take an electric car for a tour and visit the beautiful flower fields without any effort. There are not many tourists, so you can enjoy the beautiful scenery. Overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of Shenzhen's daily life, I finally decided to escape the city's noise and embark on a spontaneous hot spring getaway. Driving to the Interlaken OCT East Hotel, the fatigue of the journey vanished the moment I saw the exotic architecture. Colorful houses lined the streets in a charmingly haphazard way, and a relaxed and joyful atmosphere filled the air. Every step felt like stepping into a painting of a European town. The most anticipated hot spring moment finally arrived. I quickly changed into my swimsuit and excitedly stepped into the hot spring area. Here, hot spring pools of all sizes were scattered like stars, each with its own unique style and benefits, like gifts carefully prepared by nature. The next day, after enjoying a hearty breakfast, I headed to Dahua Xing Temple. Stepping into the temple gate, I was greeted by the ancient architectural style, as if a time portal had transported me back to the prosperous Tang and Song dynasties. The Mahavira Hall stood majestically, solemn and respectful. The Buddha statue enshrined inside exuded compassion and peace, radiating an awe-inspiring aura. The giant statue of Weituo in the temple was tall and imposing, said to be the world's largest gilded Weituo Bodhisattva statue. The exquisite craftsmanship made it impossible not to stop and admire, every detail showcasing the craftsman's dedication and wisdom. Strolling through the temple, the melodious chanting echoed softly in my ears, bringing inner peace. Ascending the 108 steps of the Wu Liang Yun Ladder, each step felt like a profound conversation with my inner self, letting go of life's worries and gradually returning to my true self. During the festive Lunar New Year holiday of 2025, our family chose a special destination - OCT East in Shenzhen. The highlight of our trip was undoubtedly the fairytale forest train. 1. First Encounter with the Train The small train at OCT East, known as the Interlaken Train, is 5,200 meters long and circles the entire OCT East resort. The train's exterior design is quite fairytale-like, with some resembling parrot heads and others shaped like blue birds, as if they had just emerged from a storybook. After arriving at the Tea Stream Valley parking lot, we walked less than 100 meters to the train's entrance. There were quite a few people, so we bought tickets while queuing. The ticket purchase process was very convenient; we could scan a QR code on-site or buy tickets on Trip.com. Adult tickets were CNY 60, children under 1.0 meter tall were free, and there was a CNY 12 discount if purchased on Trip.com. 2. Riding Experience The train operates from 10:00 to 17:00 daily. Despite the large number of tourists during the Lunar New Year period, the train's departure frequency was high, with a train departing approximately every 15 to 20 minutes. We queued for about 40 minutes before boarding. As the train slowly started, accompanied by the ding-dong sound of the bell, our magical journey began. During the first half of the journey, the train passed through lush forests and tunnels, the air filled with a refreshing fragrance. The second half of the journey was on elevated tracks, overlooking the colorful European-style castle town and Green Lake, offering breathtakingly beautiful views. Sitting on the left side of the last carriage provided the best photo opportunities, capturing the entire train and the most beautiful scenery. We deliberately chose this location and, as expected, took many satisfying photos. 3. Stopover The train makes a brief stop of about 9 minutes at either the Big Turn Station or the Grand Canyon Station. This is a good place to rest, take photos, and buy snacks. We chose to get off and rest, and sampled some local snacks, which were delicious. We also took the opportunity to change seats for a better view of the upcoming scenery. Here's a tip: as long as you don't exit the station, you can stay on the train. We rode for two round trips. 4. Nearby Attractions After the train ride, we visited nearby attractions. Dameisha Seaside Park is a good choice, with a beach for playing in the sand and watching the sea, and a boardwalk for sunset viewing.
