[2025 Dubai Shopping Mall] Travel Guide for Old Souk (Updated May)
Old Souk Address:
Downtown Dubai Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
[Dubai] Enjoy the locals in Dubai ♡
Dubai may have a strong image of glittering and sparkling these days, but I highly recommend going to the souks (markets) and the magnificent desert, which still retain a strong sense of the old Arab atmosphere. It's not too far, so I recommend taking a walk around the souks and local areas during the day and booking a desert tour in the evening before the sun goes down. It's about a 20-minute taxi ride from the downtown area in the center of Dubai to the Deira area! The abra (ferry) costs just a few dirhams (about a few tens of yen) and takes you on a short boat trip across Dubai Creek! When you get on this, it feels like you're arriving at the souk! →This was exquisitely amazing, so I recommend you try it out. #overseastraveltactics

[Save this] Introducing the "3 major souks" you must visit in Dubai! Dubai has a strong image of skyscrapers, but walking through an Arabian market is also very emotional.
▼The three souks we visited▼
① Gold Souk: A glittering array of gold accessories
② Spice Souk: A treasure trove of colorful and fragrant Middle Eastern spices
③ Old Souk: A retro, nostalgic, general goods paradise
Each souk can be easily visited on foot or by abra, making it a perfect place to stop by between sightseeing.
Bargaining is also one of the best parts of traveling! Be sure to enjoy shopping that is unique to the area.
⸻
⛵️Abra (water taxi):
A one-way fare of 1 dirham (about 40 yen) gives you a real local feel!
Many stores are closed during the day, so the best time to go is in the morning to before noon or after the evening!

It's like the world of Aladdin in Dubai Old Souk 🇦🇪
This is a must-visit spot when you come to Dubai! Dubai has a strong glittering image, but there are also nostalgic places like this ✨ Get off at Gold Souq Station or Al Ras Station on the Metro Green Line and walk for about 7 minutes. There are a lot of tourists, so you won't get lost! You'll get there if you walk! You can get a lot of souvenirs here, so it's good to buy them in bulk! Try to negotiate the price. We reduced the price of a cashmere stole from 6,000 yen to 1,500 yen lol Be careful because they rip off tourists quite a bit ⚠️ But it's fun! The recommended time to go is around 5 to 6 o'clock when the sunset is beautiful. You can take a boat to the opposite shore for 1 dirham (40 yen), so you can enjoy the sunset on this boat! There are many products that look like the real Dubai chocolate, which is currently a hot topic, and you can try them. You can get so much food that you'll be full after tasting it, so I hope you enjoy the food too🍫📍Dubai Spice Souk: 779W+3H4 - Deira - Al Ras - Dubai - United Arab Emirates

Dubai Old City Market
📍The old city market in Dubai is a bustling traditional market located in the center of the city's historic district.
🌟In the market, the gold market is the most famous, with over 300 gold shops offering dazzling gold jewelry and gemstones.
❤ The Spice Market is my personal favorite, where visitors can experience the colorful and fragrant world of Middle Eastern spices, herbs, and teas. That eye-catching red spice is saffron, which is usually used for seasoning and coloring dishes and is known for its unique aroma and taste. It is also one of the most expensive spices in the world because the process of harvesting and processing saffron is very labor-intensive.
📝Saffron is most commonly used as a spice in cooking, but it is also used as a dye for clothing and textiles. The yellow-orange color of saffron is often used in traditional clothing, such as the saffron robes worn by Buddhist monks in Thailand and other parts of Southeast Asia.
