Lijiang is a city that can heal the soul, with its snow-capped mountains, lakes, and ancient towns crisscrossed by streams and bridges, hiding the fireworks of everyday life. Being here and blending in feels like returning to the origin of the world, to a time long, long ago. That's why Zhao and I have come to Lijiang no less than ten times and still often long to return. Each time we visit Lijiang, we arrange to stay in the Ancient Town area for a few days and explore the days and nights of the old city on foot. This time we stayed at the Anyu Hotel in Lijiang Ancient Town, where the simple and tasteful decor allows one to fully immerse in the charm of antiquity, and their afternoon tea and breakfast are particularly rich. ▶️Here's the three-day, two-night off-the-beaten-path itinerary we personally tested, perfect for those staying in the ancient town and accessible entirely on foot: Day1: After checking into Anyu Hotel in the afternoon, you can first enjoy their afternoon tea, and then in the evening, walk into the ancient town towards Black Dragon Pool Park, which takes about 40 minutes. You will pass through the main street of the entire ancient town, where you can stroll and take photos at leisure. By sunset, you'll reach Black Dragon Pool Park, just in time to see the golden hour over Jade Dragon Snow Mountain... Day2: After breakfast at the hotel, you can start your day exploring the ancient town. First, head towards Sifang Street, where you can find 'Oil Umbrella Street' (where the entire street is lined with oil-paper umbrellas for beautiful photos). It looks great both in the morning and evening, so you can visit early and return later. Then navigate to Lion Hill or Mu's Residence to overlook Lijiang Ancient Town. In the evening, go to Dayan Huaxiang, which is very dreamy when lit up at night. Day3: If you can get up early, walk through the ancient town to Black Dragon Pool Park and Qingxi Reservoir to see the sun shining on the golden mountain. In the evening, head towards Zhongyi Market, where the night market is very distinctive at night, offering many authentic delicacies such as grilled bait blocks, grilled milk fans, cactus fruit, chicken bean jelly, and local chicken rice noodles, etc...

I thought the ancient town would be noisy, but I found that An Yu is really a good place to sleep. A hotel for my second visit to Lijiang Every time I stay at Anyu, I feel healed. Even though there are so many hotels to choose from in Lijiang, I still choose Anyu when I want to stay in the ancient town for the second time. I feel safe and secure. The room is small, especially the double room. But the beauty of the public area makes up for the lack of space in the room. You can choose your own toiletries, and I still chose my favorite Le Labo 33. When traveling, you not only want to have fun, but also want to have a good rest after a day of fun.

Such great taste, just want to soak in the hotel and go nowhere! We checked into An Yu Lijiang on April 3rd and stayed for two nights. When I decided to fly to Yunnan for a trip in April, what excited me the most was choosing the hotels. It took a long time to decide on the three key accommodations for our trip, and An Yu Lijiang was one of them. After arriving in Lijiang by high-speed train from Kunming, we went straight to An Yu Lijiang to check in. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with all aspects of An Yu. But what I liked the most is that An Yu Lijiang made us feel at home. The service was exceptionally good, making us very comfortable. And it seems that every staff member at An Yu is so, very friendly. Although the twin room we stayed in was indeed a bit small and a bit dark, I still quite liked the overall atmosphere of the hotel. At first, I was worried that the wooden floors would cause a lot of noise, but actually, during the stay, I felt this concern was unnecessary. I first came across the "An Yu" hotel in Hangzhou, where its small yet exquisite charm was stunning.
