2025 Hitachi Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in March)

In 2017, I went to Ibaraki Prefecture. After visiting the Hitachi Seaside Park, I also visited Hitachi Station in Ibaraki Prefecture, which is known as the most beautiful station in the world, and had afternoon tea at SEA BiRDS CAFÉ in the station. The sky was cloudy on the day of the visit, so I couldn't see the most beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean. Waffle House didn't make a reservation in advance and was unable to sit in the best seat by the window. For drinks, my mother ordered Cappuccino (450 yen/about HK$32), which was of good quality. For waffles, I ordered White Hojicha Latte (580 yen/about 40 Hong Kong dollars). Oiwa, said to be the oldest sacred mountain in Hitachi Province The deity enshrined is Kunitokotachi no Mikoto, and 188 other deities are enshrined on the entire mountain! It is also known for having flourished as a place of prayer for successive lords of the Mito domain. The story of Oiwa Shrine is that when an astronaut looked at the Earth from space, he saw a place where he saw a strong light, and when he investigated, he found that it was Oiwa Shrine.
