This is a tour to swim with whale sharks. It's not too expensive, and the atmosphere and security are relatively good, so I highly recommend it. There was a woman who participated alone. It takes at least 3 hours by car from downtown Cebu, so you'll have to spend a whole day there, but I think it's worth it. The time you spend swimming with the whale sharks is also quite long, and although it's just how long it feels, I think it was more than 20 minutes. The whale sharks come pretty close, so you need to be careful not to come into contact with them. The hotel will pick you up at 3am, but the car is not big, and then we will go to Oslob, the whole journey will take about 2-3 hours Arriving in Oslob, the first attraction is of course to swim with whale sharks, but there are too many people there on weekends, so we have to eat while waiting. The orientation is the guide in order to protect the whales and to have our experience in a smooth flow. As nearly as close proximity to them, this experience is one of a kind. It's been the highlight of my Oslob trip. But this experience requires every visitors to be responsible one. Don't touch the whales or chase them. When was the last time you encountered such ones in a lifetime experience? I am glad to have one recently. Hoping in 2023 I will be able to travel in South Korea and Japan. Going there is pretty easy but you stay over night. Take a direct flight to Cebu, Phillipines, then Take a cab for 3000 peso or Take a cab to South Bus Station that will cost you much less. The travel time will be about two hours. Bus will drop you off the hotel you booked at Oslob Whalewatcher hostels or nearby resorts. For nearby resorts, they have shuttle at 6 am taking you to Whale Shark watcher Beach and assists you all the way till you are boated to the Whale Shark district. Afterwards, will bring back to the resorts. The whole event is about 4-5 hours.
