Guangzhou | Panyu Shiqiao City Walk, Cultural Route Guide
In Panyu, Guangzhou, this slow-paced city walk route is full of culture, with great food, fun, and shopping. It's a great way to relax. 🍃
👣 My route:
Panyu Children's Park → Panyu Hotel → Pioneer Community → Chen Teahouse → Christian Church → Qunyuan → Xifang Courtyard
⭕️ Panyu Children's Park: Free admission, with slides, sand pits, etc. If you want to play the rides, it's CNY 10 per person. I was a little disappointed that the original blue double-decker carousel was dismantled. 😞
⭕️ Guangzhou Panyu Hotel: A star-rated hotel with a Lingnan garden style that has been open for more than 40 years. You can buy a big bag of fish food for CNY 5 to feed the fish. The huge school of goldfish is really amazing, and the scene is spectacular!
There are always a lot of people having morning tea on the first and second floors every day. The taste is okay, but the best is the freshly cooked porridge. 👍
Panyu specialties: 🌼 Chrysanthemum wheat & white wheat
⭕️ Pioneer Community: A government urban renewal project, a quiet community with a large outdoor space for playing and running, retaining the Lingnan-style oyster shell houses, wok ear gables, etc.
⭕️ Chen Teahouse: An old sugar water shop under the arcade, with several sugar waters such as almond paste, peanut paste, and sesame paste, which are made according to the time. Basically, people wait in advance, and they are sold out quickly after they are made. The taste is really good. 👍
⚠️ Closed on Saturdays!
On the street in front of Chen Teahouse, there are many cute graffiti on the trees, such as 🐶🐷🐸🐼, which are very lifelike!
⭕️ Christian Church: The first Christian church in Shiqiao, Panyu
⭕️ Qunyuan: The "Little Palace" of Shiqiao, Panyu, is not open to the public for the time being, but you can see it from the outside.
⭕️ Xifang Courtyard Cultural and Creative Park: There is Migoo Bookstore 📖, Shijing Tianji Night Xifang, and Gushi Flower Shop 💐. It's a creative park with a sense of age, and it's quite artistic to walk and take photos.
