A Heavenly Hotel Stay in Hangzhou with Friends! Absolutely Stunning!
Park Hyatt Hangzhou Review: An Exceptional Experience, Almost Perfect
I recently stayed at the Park Hyatt Hangzhou, my first experience with a Hyatt hotel, and it was nearly perfect. I just have to share it with everyone!
I. Overall Evaluation
Based on my overall experience, I give the Park Hyatt Hangzhou a 9.5 out of 10. It excels in service, design, amenities, and location, with almost no noticeable shortcomings.
II. Stay Details
1. 💰 Price per person: I booked a standard room for 1340 yuan and used a GOH voucher to upgrade to a river view room. Due to full occupancy on the day of check-in, I couldn't upgrade to a deluxe river view room, which would have cost an additional 200 yuan. The value for this level of quality was excellent.
2. 🧹 Soundproofing/Cleanliness: The room's soundproofing was excellent; I barely heard any outside noise during my stay, allowing for a quiet and comfortable rest. The cleanliness was impeccable, with the room spotless and public areas consistently maintained, providing a safe and worry-free environment.
III. Hotel Experience
1. 💁♀️ Service Quality: The service was exceptional. During check-in, the front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and professional, proactively explaining Globalist benefits and thoughtfully inquiring about late check-out. When they learned I wanted to keep the room key card as a souvenir, they carefully selected a newer one and patiently explained the story behind each card's design. I had previously emailed the hotel requesting a teddy bear, and they happily obliged, a stark contrast to some hotels where multiple phone calls are needed. Throughout my stay, room service was incredibly prompt, addressing any requests or issues efficiently.
2. 🏘️ Room Type/Layout: Although I didn't get the larger deluxe river view room, the 50+ square meter river view room was spacious enough, with a well-designed layout that made it very comfortable. The room's design was ingenious, with the headboard, carpet, and minibar back panel featuring coordinating floral patterns, a lotus-shaped chandelier, lotus-patterned minibar doors, asymmetrical double vanities with irregular mirror lights – every detail showcased a unique design philosophy that was truly captivating.
3. 🛌 Amenities/Facilities: The hotel's amenities were top-notch. High-quality toiletries included Jing tea bags, Nespresso capsules, and Le Labo toiletries. Turndown service included macarons and replenished toiletries, a very thoughtful touch. The bathrobes were of average quality, similar to those at Four Points by Sheraton, and some switches weren't very responsive, but these minor issues didn't detract from the overall experience.
4. 🍽️ Dining Experience: The dining experience was also excellent. As the hotel doesn't have a lounge, two welcome drinks were offered at the lobby bar, with choices including cocktails, red wine, and white wine. While the drinks weren't particularly outstanding, the live piano music in the lobby bar created a wonderful ambiance. Breakfast was semi-buffet style. Although the restaurant was busy due to full occupancy the previous night, the food was served quickly and tasted better than the average five-star hotel.
IV. Location
The hotel is ideally located, approximately midway between Hangzhou East Railway Station and West Lake, offering convenient transportation. The Mixc shopping mall is right downstairs, providing easy access to shopping and entertainment. For concertgoers, the Olympic Sports Center is just across the river.
V. Other Tips
1. Communicate your needs in advance via email or phone, such as preferred room types or small gifts. The hotel is likely to accommodate your requests, enhancing your stay.
2. Take advantage of the nearby businesses and attractions during your stay to fully enjoy the hotel's prime location.
3. Although Hyatt's corporate challenge of 20 nights in 90 days is quite demanding, the Park Hyatt Hangzhou will genuinely make you appreciate the Hyatt Group. Consider choosing Hyatt hotels again in the future to experience their unique charm.
My stay at the Park Hyatt Hangzhou was truly fantastic, and I highly recommend it! Whether for business or leisure, it's an excellent choice.
