Tiger Cave Temple is a sacred Buddhist temple in Bhutan. It is located on a cliff more than 900 meters high in the Paro Valley, at an altitude of 3120 meters. This temple was built in 1692. It is said that the Indian monk Padmasambhava once meditated and practiced here. It is a good place for all Bhutanese believers to worship. The temple experienced a fire in 1998 and has since been renovated. Tourists generally need to be led by a guide to enter the inside of the Tiger Cave Temple. Since the temple is built on a high mountain cliff, the journey to get there is quite difficult, and it usually takes about 2 hours to hike up the mountain. There are horses to travel here (reference price 20-30 US dollars), if necessary, you can consult your guide. However, even riding up the mountain is very bumpy. In some sections, you even have to lie on the horse's back to avoid falling off, and you still need to walk on your own when going down the mountain. Bhutanese believe that only hiking is religious enough. There are lush vegetation growing in the Paro Valley, the air is pure and fresh, the scenery is very beautiful, and you can see flying prayer flags from time to time. There are two viewing platforms along the way. From here, you can see a group of white buildings on the mountain cliff surrounded by clouds and mist, like a fairyland, that is the Tiger Cave Temple. On closer inspection, there are also several buildings on the top of the mountain higher than the Tiger Cave Temple, which is a place for monks to clean up. After a short rest, continue to climb the mountain and come to the viewing platform, from which you can clearly see the Tiger Cave Temple, which is also a good place to take pictures. When you get here, you can no longer ride a horse, you need to rely on your legs to walk along the stairs to complete the next distance. There is a waterfall hanging in front of the mountain gate of Tiger Cave Temple, and the water flows over the layers of rocks into the deep pool. Follow the tour guide to enter the Tiger's Nest Temple, you need to take off your shoes, and all photography equipment (including mobile phones) is not available.
