This HALAL Sichuan eatery is located just beside Jco Donuts at Paya Lebar Square and you can easily spot it when you exit from Paya Lebar MRT main entrance. The entrance facing the MRT is closed though so you need to enter via the mall.
Delibowl Ricebowl offers authentic Sichuan cuisine in a unique cosy eatery setting. Check out their signatures which include Stir-Fried Mapo Tofu in Hot Sauce, Sichuan Style Fried Eggplant etc. Non spicy dishes are actually available so fret not if you aren't a fan of spicy food.
Now ordering is quite easy via the Self Ordering Menu Panel at the kiosk at the entrance, mall side. You have the option of going ala carte with rice or take on a set meal which comes with a side dish, and soup or drink. Try their homemade drinks like milk tea, lemon tea and even barley etc, served in a pouch.
For my visit today, I ordered the Stire-Fried Tofu in Hot Sauce which is actually a very classic Mapo Tofu set with silken tofu cubes, minced chicken, fermented beans, soya beans and Sichuan peppercorns. My side was a spicy tofu noodle salad which is favourite cold dish of mine also (I always will order this when I visit other Chinese eateries especially like those serving Dong Bei North Eastern cuisine). Instead of soup, I opted for a can of coke and they gave me in ice in their signature pouch too.
Overall, a true blue, savoury Sichuan favourite that goes down well with rice lol. Always my favourite to go / MustVisit eatery when I have cravings for Sichuan food lol.
As the taste is very near to authentic Sichuan cuisine from the mainland, I definitely recommend this as a MustVisit place to go to if you haven't tried any Sichuan cuisine before and you are lover of spicy Chinese food with fermented beans and Sichuan peppercorns unique to the Sichuan region.
There’s plenty of seating space available as they occupy 2 units. Do pop by !
