Fukuoka and nearby cities travel plan 6 days 5 nights
#TravelPlan Share This trip, we focused on visiting cities near Fukuoka such as Dazaifu-Nanzoin-Itoshima-Yufuin-Nagasaki-Kumamoto. You can travel both round trips (for those who don't want to carry heavy luggage) and stay overnight (for those who want to explore the area and absorb the culture). Let's see our plan.
Day 1: Landed at Fukuoka Airport. After dropping off our luggage at the hotel in Hakata, we started our trip at
🕚“Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine“
Address: Train: Get off at Nishitetsu Dazaifu Station and walk for about 5 minutes.
Highlight: The god “Dazaifu Tenmangu” is famous as the god of learning. Therefore, tourists often come to pat his head and take pictures with the cow in front of the shrine gate. And for coffee lovers, there is a Starbucks decorated in a strange wooden style. It is another check-in point.
🕟 For the first evening, we went shopping in Tenjin Underground Station Market, a beautifully decorated underground city with many shops, both restaurants Some important fashion and souvenir shops have tax free for tourists.
Day: 2 Start the day by praying at "Nanzoin Temple".
Address: Take the JR train and get off at Kidonanzoin-mae Station and walk a little bit.
Highlight: The largest reclining Buddha in the world. It is popular to pray for luck and money.
🕜In the afternoon, we went to the seaside town of "Itoshima".
Address: Take the bus from Tenjin4-chome stop and get off at Futamigaura stop (from studying the route, you can take the JR and then a bus or rent a car, but we chose the bus because it takes only one bus.)
Highlight: Worship the sacred couple rocks. It is believed that if you pray for your soulmate here, your wish will come true. In addition, there are beautiful cafes and hotels in this area.
Day: 3 Take the special train YUFUIN NO MORI to Yufuin.
Highlight: You can walk around Yufuin all day. Here, there are Yufuin street, Kinrin lake, Yufuin floral village, and food shops. Cute cartoon characters
Day: 4 Nagasaki City
Highlights: A historical city in Japan that was bombarded by atomic bombs during the World War. There are many places to visit, both historical, museums, Peace Park, Nagasaki Spectacles Bridge, and a place to walk in the afternoon, Glover Garden.
Getting around Nagasaki City: Most people use the tram because it is more accessible to the main tourist attractions.
Day: 5 The last day, we continued to "Kumamoto Prefecture".
Address: You can take the Shinkansen to Kumamoto Station. It takes no more than 40 minutes from Hakata.
Highlights: When you get off the train, you will see the station master, Kumamon, in full uniform waiting to welcome you. It's so cute. Kumamoto also uses the tram as public transportation. We took the tram to see "Kumamoto Castle".
🕐We stopped by to find something delicious to eat at "Kamitori arcade", an indoor food and shopping street with many shops, before returning to the hotel in Hakata.
Day: 6 Fukuoka Airport There are souvenir shops at the airport to choose from before going home. Anyone who wants to spend yen or find famous souvenirs from the Kyushu region must not forget to stop by before boarding the plane. #Northern Kyushu tourist spots #itoshima #Kyushu tourist spots #Yufuin city tour #Nagasaki tourist spots
