Discover the Thrills of Phantasialand Theme Park in Germany
While visiting Bonn for the cherry blossoms during Easter, I found Phantasialand theme park to be a delightful surprise! Located at Berggeiststraße 31-41, 50321 Brühl, it's easily accessible from Bonn. We took the RE train from the main station, reaching Brühl Bahnhof in just 10 minutes. From there, a shuttle bus, with schedules available at phl-Infos.de, takes you to the park for a round-trip fare of 3 euros, which needs to be purchased separately.
Our adventure began with the earliest shuttle at 8:25, but arriving later is fine since most attractions start at 10:00. We strolled around, enjoying the carousel, and queued up by 9:40. Maps are available in the park, and while there's an official app, I found the map more useful. We prioritized attractions with Quick Passes, ensuring we experienced the most popular rides first. A day is ample time to explore, with opportunities to relax, watch shows, and enjoy ice cream.
The last shuttle leaves at 19:15, but we opted for the 18:15 bus to avoid crowds. The bus departs from the park entrance, and even if you miss it, you can wait at the entrance for the next one.
Highlights include Taron and F.L.Y, both with 40-minute queues. Taron is a thrilling ride with rapid speeds and twisting tracks, making it a must-try. F.L.Y, with its steampunk theme, offers an immersive experience reminiscent of flying on a magical broomstick. Other notable rides are Colorado Adventure, Mystery Castle, Talocan, and Winja's Fear, with shorter wait times. Each offers unique thrills, from a family roller coaster to a drop tower and indoor coaster.
Pro tip: Avoid sitting in the front row on water rides and wear gray pants to stay comfortable. Enjoy your visit to Phantasialand!
