Piccadilly Circus and a Union Jack London bus

In the summer of 2019, when I went to Piccadilly Circus in London, I discovered the Union Jack pattern on the famous double-decker London bus.
So cute...I often rode double-decker buses in Hong Kong, but there were only advertisements on the body of the double-decker bus in Hong Kong.
I thought Piccadilly Circus was just a spot near the subway exit, but the buildings beyond the bronze statue near the exit were surprisingly wide, so you couldn't see ahead.
There were a series of curved stone buildings, and it took a long time to walk around the area, and I was nervous that I would get lost.
Most of the first floors of the buildings were high-end brand shops and restaurants, and the shopping was good but the food was surprisingly expensive, so I decided to eat fish and chips near the station later and only did a little shopping.
As I was walking around, I saw an iron gate with a magnificent coat of arms, so I took a picture.
The buildings were very impressive, and I wondered where I was and what it was, as I continued my walk.
There was a monument with a golden statue on top, but unfortunately, I had left my London guidebook at the hotel that day, so even while sightseeing I couldn't figure out what was going on, which was really disappointing.
English is spoken so it's okay if you get lost, but if you don't have any information about tourist spots you'll really miss out, so more than anything, make sure you don't forget your guidebook and keep it in your bag.
