Pokemon Cafe in Tokyo is the second branch we visited in Japan. It is located at the fifth floor of Takashimaya department store, which is approximately 10 minute walk from Tokyo station. Booking a reservation online is tough but the experience is worth it. The interior and exterior Pokemon- Inspired decorations are similar in Osaka. They are stunning and amazing to look at. However, the cafe in Tokyo appears to be wider and bigger in space. There's slight difference in menu. So, I decided to try the food and drink that I haven't tried before. Not a fan of the main meal though but the dessert and drinks are delicious! Be aware, it is not cheap. They also have games, freebies and a surprise performance by Pikachu, which is really good. Pokemon Cafe in Japan is only open for reservations online a month earlier, normally updated every day at 5pm Hong Kong time, and it will be full in a minute or two. After crossing the long underground streets at Tokyo Station, walk for about five minutes or so towards Takashimaya to reach Pokemon Cafe’s dedicated elevator on the ground level. When you exit the elevator, you can see Kirby, which is the Pokemon restaurant and specialty shop. After entering the restaurant, it is filled with Pokemon furnishings. We ordered most of the Pokemon-looking food on the menu to check in, including Pikachu, Kirby, Eevee, Gengar and the latest Yu Sanjia in the Juzi series. #tokyo If you are a Pokemon fan and happen to visit Tokyo, do try and visit the Pokemon Cafe. They have got various pokemon premiums ranging from plates, utensils and soft toys etc on sale. Also, food served is pokemon themed based, with the mascot also coming out from time to time to sing a song and entertain you. A place good to dine with quality pokemon themes food :) Must visit!

Tokyo's first Pokemon Cafe is located in Nihonbashi, near Ginza, Tokyo. The restaurant is completely reservation-based, which means reservations are required and walk-ins are not allowed. Reservations start one month before the date of meal. There are many tutorials online, so you can take a look before making a reservation. After you sit down, the waiter will provide you with an iPad for ordering, which has pictures and different languages. Some restaurants will have two prices, and the more expensive ones will come with a brand new tableware. Friends who like can choose. The presentation of the meal was 100 points, and the taste was good, not super delicious, but normal Japanese food taste, not bad. Pikachu will come out to dance after everyone is seated, making the atmosphere in the restaurant really hot! Kids are huge Pokémon fans and wish to check it off their bucket list. While the overall experience was good, the food was bland, easily the worst we’ve had in Japan. Whoever came up with the menu is a genius, repackaging airplane food with Pokémon IP and overcharging fans.

#japantrip Super cute restaurant. The decor is adorable and the dishes are very thought through. It is quite expensive but this is more about the experience than the actual meal. We had a lot of fun as Pokémon fans - only kids at heart - and the visit from Gengar was a nice surprise. Brace your wallet because the café part has exclusive items including the Gengar glass and the cute little pot where they served the food. Very happy that we managed to make a reservation - needs to be done a month and 1 day in advance - even with the overpriced items. It's something great to do once if you're a Pokémon fan, very fun but I wouldn't say it's unmissable.

#thingstodo This was a fun experience but I had much higher expectations than what I got. All the food looks super cute, They did a great job thinking through the presentation, employing a lot of props and cute plates and imagination, thus making everything exciting when it came to the table. Unfortunately the taste was rather dull for most of the dishes and drinks however, some just inedible. My family all ordered mains, special drinks, and dessert. I was not expecting anything gourmet however if this tells you anything --after finishing our meal we went to Lawson and got food we could actually eat. I would say if you are a fan of the franchise and (1) you won't be disappointed no matter which character comes out (because there's a good chance you won't see Pikachu) and (2) you're not on a budget where this dinner trades off with an another high quality fancy dinner -- then you you should go. However, if you are trying killing yourself trying to get a reservation (which is extremely difficult) then know you're not missing out on much by not going. Had I known better I just would have ordered a coffee and maybe a desert and then left. I would recommend skipping the mains.

I will choose the main table which is a sharing table because this is the only table with many pokemon figurines and Pikachu will be right in front of you. When you are here, you must order their Pikachu curry rice, it is as good as it looks. If you also order their drinks, you will be able to mix it yourself and see the colour changes in front of you too. This pokemon cafe is inside the pokemon centre so you can come earlier and explore pokemon centre. There are also many pokemon wall murals and you can take as many photos as you wish.
