Kobe Day Trip: A Perfect Combination of Cute Animals, Beautiful Scenery, and Delicious Food
Today, I want to share with you my amazing day trip to Kobe. It was truly fulfilling and satisfying, so make sure to save this itinerary! ⏰
Morning: Head to Kobe Animal Kingdom
⏰11:30, after finishing my city walk in Osaka's Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori, I headed to Kobe Animal Kingdom with excitement. I couldn't wait to see all the adorable animals, and my heart was filled with anticipation.
Upon arriving at the animal kingdom, it felt like stepping into a magical world of animals. Various animals live freely here, and there are plenty of interactive areas where you can get up close and personal with alpacas, bunnies, kangaroos, and more. They are gentle and friendly, and their soft and fluffy fur instantly melts your heart. I got to pet a capybara, feed camels and squirrels, and although I didn't get a photo with an owl, I did capture some adorable pictures. There was even a hippo feeding show, and those little hippos were so greedy!
Evening: Visit Kobe Ferris Wheel
⏰4:30, I left the animal kingdom and headed straight to Kobe Ferris Wheel. As the sun was setting around 5:00, the Ferris wheel looked dreamy, with its giant wheel shining in the twilight, followed by the neon lights at night.
Riding the Ferris wheel, as it slowly ascended, the breathtaking view of Kobe Port unfolded before my eyes. The distant sea shimmered, the cityscape nearby was beautifully arranged, and the bustling port was filled with ships coming and going in an orderly manner. The gentle breeze brushed against my face, and the tranquility and beauty of the moment were captivating. I couldn't help but take out my phone and snap countless photos, capturing these stunning moments, each one like a scene from a movie.
Night: Wagyu Feast at Sumiyaki Ishidaya
⏰6:30, I hurried to Sumiyaki Ishidaya, having heard about their legendary Kobe beef. Finally, I could indulge in this culinary delight. The restaurant's interior was simple yet cozy, filled with the aroma of charcoal-grilled meat.
I ordered various cuts of wagyu beef and grilled them myself over charcoal. The sizzling sound of the fat melting at high temperatures released an irresistible fragrance. The moment I took a bite, the tender and juicy wagyu beef melted in my mouth, leaving me in awe. The happiness blossomed on my taste buds. Paired with the restaurant's special sauce and yuzu sake, every bite was a delight. You must try it!
Night: Surprising Shopping at Don Quijote
⏰8:00, after dinner, I went to Don Quijote for some shopping. It felt like a treasure-filled market, with a wide variety of products, from snacks and cosmetics to daily necessities.
The best part was finally finding the Instax film that I couldn't get in Osaka! Each person was limited to three boxes, and it felt like finding a hidden gem. Now I can capture more beautiful moments. I also discovered many unique and interesting items, making the shopping experience fantastic.
⏰8:30, with a bag full of goodies, I headed back to Osaka. This day trip to Kobe was filled with adorable animals, stunning scenery, top-notch food, and surprising shopping, making every moment unforgettable. I highly recommend this itinerary to those with limited time who don't want to visit too many attractions. I'm sure you'll fall in love with Kobe too!
