When we first arrived we explored the Old Town (Vieux Nice).This famous seafront promenade was constructed in the 1820s and is a symbol of Nice. It offered stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. 📍 Promenade des Anglais, 06000 Nice, France We then visited Castle Hill (Colline du Château).Although the castle itself no longer stands, Castle Hill provides panoramic views of Nice, the port, and the Baie des Anges. It also features beautiful gardens and a waterfall. 📍 Rue des Ponchettes, 06300 Nice, France We also wandered through the narrow, winding streets filled with colorful buildings, lively markets, and historic churches like the Nice Cathedral. We then visited the most famous restaurant, La Petite Maison. We ordered the Provençal Ratatouille and their famous "Le Poulet" (chicken) which was so delicious and we just love it. Sea to the left, grand old hotels to the right. Felt like I was in a postcard, but also… didn’t care to post it. Just wanted to keep it 😆 🧺 Picked up olives and a tomato 🍅 tart at the market in Cours Saleya. Sat under a striped umbrella ☂️ with a cold Orangina and zero agenda. Watched people buying flowers, old men arguing softly in French. Pure quiet joy. 🏖️ The beach is pebbly (not sand!) — but once you’re in the water, you forget everything. Clear, cold, and perfect. Brought bread and cheese and called it lunch 🥪 🍝 Dinner near Place Garibaldi, seafood pasta 🍝 lemony wine, and a waiter who teased us in French and then brought extra bread without asking. Today, October 31st, was very windy and chilly. But the color of the sea was crazy. It was completely different from the color of the sea I saw in Haeundae. I never thought I would be able to see the emerald sea in person. But the waves crashing on the sea were so beautiful that I stayed for almost an hour feeling the sea breeze. There was something really amazing about it. Even in that windy and chilly weather, there were surprisingly many people wearing only swimsuits and sunbathing.
