Overview
Zhijin Cave is located in Guanzhai Miao Township, Zhijin County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province, on the south bank of Liuchong River, one of the sources of Wujiang River. It is a national scenic spot, a national natural heritage site, a national geopark, a world geopark, and a national 5A-level tourist attraction. It has the largest and most developed karst landform in China. The cave is divided into four layers, with a length of 12.1 km and an area of more than 700,000 square meters.
Ticket Information
- Peak season: (March 1 to the end of November) Ticket price is CNY 110 per person.
- Off season: (December 1 to the end of February of the following year) Ticket price is CNY 100 per person.
- Half-price discount: Minors aged 6–18, full-time undergraduate students and below.
- Free admission: National primary, secondary, and university students (including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan), children under 6 years old, seniors over 60 years old, police officers, teachers, medical staff, etc.
Cave Scenery
- Double Lion Hall: The deposits on the left and right sides resemble a lion king and a lion cub. There are stalactites on the top of the cave. The three layers of rocks on the front cave wall are covered with moss and other plants. The surface of the stalagmites has cave blue algae.
- Pagoda Palace: There is little vegetation on the top of the cave, and the water and soil conservation is poor. The dripping water forms many tall and thick stalagmites, which resemble golden pagodas, also known as "Golden Pagoda City."
- Longevity Palace: It is more than 90 meters high and wide, also known as the Nine-Nine Palace. There are three thick stalagmites about 20 meters high, known as the three stars of fortune, prosperity, and longevity, which are more than 250,000 years old.
- Lingxiao Hall: The scenery resembles Arhats, immortals, etc. On the right side, there is a stone curtain more than 100 meters long and tens of meters high, formed by the dripping water from the cracks on the top of the cave, resembling a group of waterfalls, called "Hundred-foot Curtain."
- Leizi Cave: Formed 350,000 years ago, the sheet-like water flow on the right side of the artificial cave path hangs down from the top of the cave to the ground, forming stone flags. The small hall in the cave is called the Stone Shield Hall because of the many stone shields.
Supporting Attractions
- Xiaotuoluo Miao Village: About 2 km from Zhijin Cave, it is a village inhabited by the Miao ethnic group, retaining the Miao language of the Waishu Miao branch. You can experience Miao batik and embroidery.
- Wujiangyuan Hundred-mile Gallery: 7.5 km from Zhijin Cave Scenic Area, it integrates high gorges, flat lakes, karst caves, waterfalls, and other scenery, known as the natural gallery of "a line of sky above, a bend of water in the gorge."
- Zhijin Pingyuan Ancient Town: Located in the east of Zhijin County, connected to the urban area, and complementing Zhijin Ancient City, it is themed as "Hometown of Baozhen, Cave Heaven Zhijin, City of Encounters, Misty Rain Ancient Town," creating a Jiangnan ancient town-like atmosphere.

- Dining: Zhijin local delicacies are rich, such as Zhijin Kung Pao Chicken, buckwheat cold noodles, Zhijin bamboo fungus, etc., which can be tasted around the scenic area and in Zhijin County.
