On my first day on Weizhou Island, I checked into the hotel I'd been longing to stay at. My friend and I stayed in different room types, both beautiful. Opening the window revealed the sea, instantly lifting our spirits. The hotel also has a swimming pool on the ground floor, creating the perfect vacation vibe~ The beach is just a 1-minute walk from the hotel. Stunning coastline, soft white sand, and blue sea. There are mixed reviews about Weizhou Island online! But I think you still have to experience it yourself before you can draw a conclusion. This is a place I want to visit again after visiting it twice. There are so many beautiful views! Moreover, the island is not big, so it doesn't take time to get anywhere. 🔷Transportation ✈️During the off-season, you can go directly to Beihai/or Nanning to transfer to the high-speed train. Purchase the ferry ticket and island ticket in advance, and take the ferry to the island at Beihai Passenger Terminal. [🚢Ferry tickets start from 150 yuan, 🎫Island tickets 98 yuan] 🔷Transportation on the island If you book your homestay in advance, the butler will arrange direct pick-up from the pier! Weizhou Island is not big! Basically, an electric car is enough for traveling on the island. Electric car rental (50 to 60 yuan a day) will make it easier to bargain if you rent it in batches! 🔷Accommodation The one I chose is: 📍Qingli Fuxiao Courtyard. A B&B within walking distance to the beach where you can watch the sunrise while lying in bed. (Although we didn’t see it that day due to weather conditions 😅) But the overall environment of the homestay is really good, the room is large and has its own bathtub. There is also a separate terrace where you can sunbathe or lie down and watch the sea. There is also a swimming pool in the public area. 🔷Recommended attractions⬇️ 🔹Blue Bridge The sand is super fine, the water is clear, and it is the same glass sea as the Wuzhizhou Island in Sanya. 🔹Stone screw mouth The best spot to watch the sunset, with stunning cliffs where you can create blockbuster movies in no time. 🔹Nanwan Street The busiest neighborhood on the island has a seafood market where you can buy seafood yourself and have it processed by a restaurant. There is also a new street called Langlang Street here, where you can stroll around leisurely, take photos and have fun~ 🔹Crocodile Mountain The attractions included in the island ticket have amazing scenery and are worth a visit! Note: Please allow at least 2 hours to explore this place. You will need to go up and down many stairs, so it is recommended that you travel light and wear comfortable shoes! Weizhou Island is not big, and the B&B is very convenient to various attractions~ The farthest one is about 20 minutes by car, and most of them can be reached in about ten minutes! When you buy seafood at the seafood market yourself, you must keep a close eye on it❗️ to prevent it from being swapped. The ultraviolet rays on the island are very strong, so sun protection clothing and sunscreen are necessary. The weather on the island is changeable, so remember to bring a thicker jacket with you!
