Attractions - Heard from locals there that these cows are also called: Retired cows, where they’re too old to plow or just too old to work where they’ll be brought here to enjoy the rest of their life. Food & Restaurants - There’s a small home-run convenience store. The pricing is reasonable with no mark up. Yang Ming Shan was a beauty with lots of places to visit such as the Qi Xing mountain (which you can do a quick 1hr hike up to the peak), and many others. We took a bus up to yang ming shan from bei tou & it was an easier journey from there, or you can book a taxi service to bring you around yang ming shan as a hop on and hop off service! We also visited the xiao you keng, where it smelled strongly of sulfur & if you visit at the right timing, you can even join in their flower festivals! I had to wait for two hours for bus, so I ended up doing a hike (and still arrived before my friend who decided to wait instead). Nonetheless, Yangmingshan offers a peaceful retreat with fresh mountain air and sweeping views—perfect for a nature-filled day trip from the city.
