[2025 Sibu Stay] Travel Guide for Qu Lin Resident (Updated Mar)

have been staying in this room for almost six months, and overall, my stay has been pleasant. However, the toilet leakage and persistent bathroom odor remain unresolved. I previously reported this issue, and I was informed that repairs would be scheduled as part of the ongoing renovations. However, it has yet to be fixed. The dripping water at night disrupts my sleep, and the odor affects my living conditions. I kindly request that repairs be arranged as soon as possible or that a temporary solution be provided. I also understand that long-term hotel stays in Sibu are hard to secure, and currently, this is the only hotel offering such accommodations. Because of this, a room change is an important request for me. I was previously told that no rooms were available, but I noticed that several rooms are still listed in the system. Therefore, I hope you can consider adjusting my room assignment or expediting the repairs to improve my living environment.

Living in the room on the ground floor is very convenient, and you can go in and out freely. You don't have to worry about going up and down the stairs with more luggage, which saves a lot of trouble.

Firstly, I would like to express our sincere gratitude for providing us with a triple room. Although our original booking was for a double room, the hotel kindly accommodated our needs by upgrading us, which we greatly appreciated. We have been staying in this room for a considerable period, and thus have grown accustomed to it. However, recently, there has been a severe odor issue in the bathroom, especially noticeable when the bathroom air conditioning is turned off. The smell spreads throughout the entire room, affecting our sleep and daily life. This issue not only impacts the room’s environment but also diminishes the overall comfort of our stay. When we requested to keep the same room type rather than moving to a different room, the response from the front desk didn’t seem to fully understand our actual needs, which left us a bit disappointed. We understand that hotel resources are limited, and it’s not always possible to offer personalized room adjustments for each guest. However, where feasible, might it be possible to offer more flexibility in room arrangements and services? We believe other long-term guests would share similar expectations if facing similar issues, and such an approach could not only improve guest satisfaction but also highlight the hotel’s commitment to considerate service.

During my time there I encountered a few issues that affected my comfort, specifically a persistent, very unpleasant odor in the bathroom and the fact that the air conditioning was often turned off seemed to exacerbate the oppressive atmosphere of the odor, especially when I was trying to sleep, which was sometimes difficult to tolerate and even made me uncomfortable. As a paying guest I expect a higher standard of comfort and service, but it was disappointing that these issues were not addressed with any urgency.
