Take a taxi to the north gate of Liaokuo Park outside the South City Gate. Liaokuo Mountain was originally named Miaogao Mountain, with a maximum altitude of 2,147.6 meters. In 1381 AD, the Ming army renamed the mountain Shengfeng to commemorate the victory of the Baishijiang Battle. Together with Qingfeng in the south and Cuifeng in the west, it is known as “Three Green Peaks” and is one of the eight scenic spots in ancient Nanning. Liaokuo Park was built on Liaokuo Mountain. Construction began in 1973 and was completed and opened in 1980. The entire scenic area runs east-west and is divided into three parts: a vast park area, a scenic forest area and a riverside park area, with a total area of ​​345.04 hectares. It is very large and has become a natural health bar for Qujing City. There are many attractions in the park, including the zoo, Xu Xiake sculpture, Shengfeng Pavilion, Huaixian Pavilion, Martyrs' Monument, Jingning Pagoda, multiple viewing platforms, mountain health trails and so on. The entire scenic forest area is dominated by natural mountains and forest vegetation, with various Yunnan vegetation and pine trees. The weather was very good today, and we saw a villa area next to Liaokuo Park. But Liaokuo Park is a mountain of graves, and the roadside leading up the mountain is filled with the graves of elderly people from Qujing. This makes me feel uncomfortable. We walked along the winding mountain road for about an hour and reached the highest point, Jingning Pagoda, where we could overlook the entire Qujing City. You can buy a ticket to climb the Jingning Pagoda. The whole climbing process was very pleasant, the sun was shining, the sky was blue, the vegetation was lush, the air was fresh and refreshing, and the mood was relaxed and happy. After eating rice noodles at the old street of Ximen, we walked to the Cuan Culture Museum. The Cuan Culture Museum is now the history museum of Qujing No. 1 Middle School. Although it is not very big, it houses two national key cultural relics, one called the Cuan Baozi Stele and the other called the Duan Shi and Thirty-seven Departments Alliance Stele. The history and significance of these two steles have already been seen in the Cuan Culture Hometown Exhibition Hall of the Qujing Museum. The Cuan Culture Museum is only open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, from 8:30 to 11:00 in the morning and from 3:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon. We arrived here at 14:50, sat on the chairs at the bus stop in front of the door and waited for 10 minutes for the door to open. We registered and entered to visit. Liaokuo Mountain, formerly known as Miaogao Mountain, is located in the southwest of Qujing City, Yunnan Province. On the Lantern Festival in 2025 (February 12), taking advantage of the fine weather in Qujing city, we visited this large city park. I went to Qujing for the Lunar New Year and found a hidden gem of a hotel. I booked it right away, and it was super comfortable. Who else can relate? It is conveniently located and has a parking lot for self-driving guests. Parking is free. Just navigate to the hotel entrance. 🌟 Highlights: ✅ The hotel has a unique design and a great environment. The front desk staff are very friendly. There is a lounge in the lobby where you can make tea. ✅ The navigation is accurate, and you can drive directly to the entrance. The hotel is conveniently located. The Bund Night Market is only 200 meters to the right of the hotel entrance. There are lots of delicious foods to try and fun things to do. ✅ The rooms are well-equipped. The hot water comes out instantly, and the water temperature is comfortable. The Wi-Fi is fast, and the bedding is soft. The 2-meter king bed can accommodate a family of four. Moms with kids should definitely come and experience it! ✅ The hotel is clean and has great service. The environment is quiet, clean, and comfortable. Each room has a private hot spring pool with sulfur water. The hotel offers a variety of room types, including mahjong rooms and tent rooms, making it a great choice for families with kids or pets. Nearby food: There is a campsite next to the hotel where you can enjoy hot pot and barbecue. If you don't want to eat these, you can also try Qujing's spicy chicken and steamed rice noodles. We chose Zhihuiyuan Yuanzi Chicken & Spicy Chicken (Sunshine Store), which is very close to the hotel. Nearby attractions: Jinlinwan Love Town, Qujing Bund, Nanzhong Cuancheng About the accommodation: Rooms are about CNY 150 per person and include a private hot spring in the courtyard. The privacy is great, and you can enjoy the view of red maple leaves against the blue sky. It's so relaxing to soak in the hot spring with your family in winter. Each room has a private hot spring that has been disinfected. The pool is large, the water temperature is high, and you can refill the water as many times as you like. The hot spring water is clear and warm, with a faint mineral fragrance. After soaking, your body and mind will feel much more relaxed. It's so healing! There are a variety of indoor and outdoor hot spring pools to choose from, so you can soak however you like. The entire hotel is artistically designed. Both the environment and the architecture are well-designed, with a strong Tibetan style. When you go to the hot spring at night, there are few people and the water temperature is just right. It's very relaxing, and I really want to stay another night!

Qujing Museum was built in November 2011 and completed in 2014. It is an important cultural facility in Qujing City. With the theme of "Flowing Pearl Source Civilization", it objectively and completely shows the historical context of Qujing's development through literature, history, cultural relics, and creative means, combined with the historical, natural, and humanistic environment characteristics of Qujing. The museum has a rich collection, mainly including bronzes, paleontological fossils, ceramics, paintings and calligraphy, jade, etc. Among them, the giant crinoid fossil is particularly eye-catching, with its huge fossil shape resembling a flower, which is amazing.

Colorful Sand Forest in Qujing is located in Majie Town, Luliang County, Qujing City, Yunnan Province. It is a national 4A-level tourist attraction. The Colorful Sand Forest was formed 340 million years ago, when the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau was still a vast ocean. Due to the influence of the Himalayan tectonic movement, the sea level dropped, and the beach rose, forming a huge beach dominated by colorful sand and stones. After being exposed to sunlight, washed and eroded by wind and rain, it eventually formed today's rare natural wonder in the world.
