Lovely French 4-Course Dinner at Racines
Located within Sofitel Singapore City Centre at level 5, Racines is known for its French cuisine and Chinese delights. I tried the 4-course set dinner ($72++) during my staycation there! The set menu changes seasonally, with mostly the French dishes included in the selections 🇫🇷
Ordering is done through a QR code and upon submitting my order, I was promptly offered water and a complimentary bread basket 🥖
I had the [Country Pâté] for my appetiser, which was a savoury steamed baked pork terrine served on a warm and crisp charred toast 😋
I also enjoyed the [Potage Velouté] soup, which was a sweet and creamy emulsion of root vegetables with a single truffle gyoza at the centre 🥟
For my main course, the locally-farmed [Barramundi] that I chose was not fishy at all, seasoned lightly so that I could taste its freshness and natural sweetness against the stronger flavoured pickled cucumbers and bursting ikura 🐟
Finally, I ended off the meal with [Banana], a soft banana cake that was reminiscent of Tokyo Banana 🍌 The cake is accompanied by gritty walnut praline, as well as a scoop of caramel ice cream! 🍨
