[2025 Kuching Stay] Travel Guide for Raia Hotel & Convention Centre Kuching (Updated Jun)

RAIA HOTEL & CONVENTION CENTRE KUCHING 📍This property is just located infront of the thr main entrance of Kuching International Airport. But it is not located inside the airport compound area. 5 minute walking is necessary to reach this hotel from the main entrance. A staycation at this hotel was really impressive. They even provided a free shuttle van for those with lots of luggage to and from the Airport. Prior booking is needed by calling or email the hotel. It features a very spacious room complete with all standard amenities as for 4 star hotel. It has 2 swimming pools and fitness centre for guests to use. Service here is really great for 4 star standard. Early checkin were granted with some minimal fee and also room service were really nice. The highlight menu was SAGO gula Apong. As this hotel mainly targeted for business travellers and transiting guests, I always found that it is perfectly fit for tourists who needs an accommodation before starting to explore Borneo in general as their distance is only 20 minutes to kuching city centre.

The Raia Hote Kuching recently came up with a supper buffet which begins from 10PM - 2AM every Saturday and I personally think it’s pretty bang for your buck. Priced at only RM 20+ per pax, you get to enjoy live matches of the fifa World Cup on the big screen whilst having an all you can buffet. They served a variety of sandwiches, nasi lemak, fried kueh tiao/mee, fresh fruits and desserts whilst we were there. If you’re feeling snackish, feel free to drop by to have a bite every Saturday (until further notice).

Discover a 4-star comfortable accommodation, warm hospitality, and courteous service. The room is very comfortable. The bellboy and the reception team are very friendly and helpful and they never run out of smile, always ready to guide you should you need help. The pool is empty when we came and we had it all to ourselves. View is nice especially when you can watch the aeroplanes land and take of from the airport. However, hopefully can get better offer again to stay here in the future!

We love the Breakfast Buffet here especially laksa sarawak and mi goreng, so delicious! The restaurant r comfy and clean. The staff are all friendly and polite, they even consider our special need child. The rate for children also really cheap, that's great coz normally children wont eat much. Thank you Raia Hotel Kuching. We have a very pleasant stay here. Looking forward for our next vacation.

Rooms are exceptional — well-designed and cozy, with a touch of fine furniture and smart room features. The toilet is modern and clean. The view from the room is spectacular at night — gazing at planes taking off and land. Super friendly, approachable and accommodating hotel receptionist and staffs — smiles and greetings are reciprocated. The men pool, however, is quite small, and the changing room is spooky, with empty unused rooms across the hall. The location however is a downside. Not quite in the heart of the city, with limited walkable activities; restaurants, cafes, bars, shopping complex can only be reached by taxis or e-hailing — but when you have an early flight to catch, the hotel, somehow, can be very strategic. #malaysia

My short getaway place in Kuching and I love how spacious their rooms are and the first time I stayed here they upgraded my room to a soho room and I am alone and I’m really grateful and the front desk staffs always so sweet and friendly. Very nice hotel. We have 4 adults, room very spacious and clean, got 3 toilets 2 bed room with a living hall. Very worth, as the room rates for this family suite including tax not over rm600 per night. The breakfast got many varieties, delicious local foods can find in the buffet. The beds really soft and pillows got 2 type on each bed, one is very soft, then the other slightly hard, i love it very much.
