Make a trip to 'Reflections at Bukit Chendu' and we will be reminded of how fortunate we are now. Reflections at bukit chendu is a museum paying tribute to the heroes in the Malay Regiment who fought bravely during the Singapore War. The museum provides very informative knowledge on the history of bukit chendu, as well as a place where singapore fought through its independence. Currently, there are some activities on going at Reflections at bukit chendu. These activities are free and teaches you basic survival skills such as pitching a tent, making your own fire, and basic first aid. All of these activites were enjoyable and my kids and a fun time learning together. Admission to Reflections at bukit is currently free for locals and permanent residents. #singapore

#newyearnewtrip At the reflection at Bukit chandu museum, it showcases the Singapore war time history information. Free admission to local citizens. For tourists and foreigners, you would have to pay 5 dollars to go in. Do note the opening hours and make sure you bring in some cash along with you should you need to pay for the admission fees. I have spent around half an hour looking at the information inside the museum. There are also clips that would be played every ten minutes, to talk about the past when Singapore is under the war time history. You would also get to see what are the weapons being used during that time.

During the 18th century, Sir William Farquhar sold several opium den so that there would be enough money to be funds for the hospital during that time. As everyone knows, opium can be quite addictive. During that time, work that requires lots of labour hardship such as coolies, has spent much of their money earned on those opium in order to feel better. You will also get to see the process of how the opium is being packed and then sold to the people. Through the images there, you will better understand the process and how they managed it.

Do note that the walk from the pasir panjang train station to here, the walkway is upwards steep hill view walk. You will also need to climb several stairs upwards to reach there. It can be very exhausting for you. It would be a good idea to drive up there. Once you reach the gate for the reflections at Bukit chandu, you have to further climb up the stairs to reach there. At the outdoor area, you will get to read up more about the battle that took place at the pasir panjang and the Malay regiment men who fought in the battle. Do take note of the operating hours here.
