Great beach for families
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Castellón (Region)
Excellent beach in the Benicasim area, with fine and clean sand, without stones or rare plants that would affect the quality of the visitors' swimming experience, and a scenic promenade. There are various water sports rentals on the beach, including water motorcycles for 10 euros/hour, speedboats for 60 euros/hour, and banana boats for 10 euros/hour. There are also hammocks and umbrellas for rent. There was a lady on the road who braided people's hair for a fee and sold unique ethnic necklaces. The beach is deeper than deep, probably because of the coarse sand, and it is easy to disappear into the sea. There are foot washing points and showers along the beach. There are also many food stores, ice cream shops, etc. along the coast. In short, it is a great place for a beach vacation.

Revitalized as a museum
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Castellón (Region)
The museum’s origins date back to the 19th century, although its current home is a building constructed in 2001 by Tuñón and Mansilla, taking advantage of the old school’s landscaped cloisters and winning several national architecture awards.
The content is arranged by topic. The Archaeology and Ethnology section contains works from prehistory to the Middle Ages, mostly from the province of Castellón. The ceramics section is the most important part of the museum, with more than a thousand pieces, mainly from the Onda, Ribesab and Alcora factories, as well as other factories such as Manises and Teruel. The painting and sculpture sections cover the 14th to 20th centuries.

This is a great place to learn about the history of Castellon and its people
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Castellón (Region)
It is a beautiful and special place, it is located in the heart of Castellón in a 17th century stately house, it has three floors, each floor has a different theme related to the history of Castellón, it shows you how people in Castellón lived and worked many years ago. It has a large collection of displays of tools from different professions and posters explaining their uses.

The cathedral is full of Spanish cultural style and historical heritage
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Castellón (Region)
The Co-Cathedral of Santa Maria la Mayor is located in Plaza Mayor. It has a magnificent appearance and occupies an entire block. It was later burned down, rebuilt in 1940 and completed in 1999. It was designed by architect Vicente Traver. It is a very peculiar co-cathedral of Valencian Gothic and neo-Gothic styles. It combines the ancient and modern. The painting on the altar is in modern realistic style and is very well preserved. I love the cartouches with the logos of paintings and sculptures. Considered a cultural interest and historical heritage of Spain and the pride of all Castellón residents, I recommend you visit it and you will see how magnificent it is.

Every city cannot be without its green lungs
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Castellón (Region)
We really liked this park, with large spaces for walking, super original ceramic benches to sit in the shade, swings, a somewhat neglected pond with turtles and a photo swing with a small sign that says "I'm in Castellón", perfect for taking photos. There is a lot of vegetation, several points of interest such as the Temple of Music, the Obelisk, the gazebo and the aforementioned pond, in one area we saw a mattress, which could indicate that someone slept there. There is a toilet but it was closed when we went. Other than that, overall it's a quiet, well maintained, clean, beautiful place to visit.

Civil War air raid shelter
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Castellón (Region)
Castellón de la Plana was bombed 44 times in total (4 by Republica aviation and 40 by Franco aviation, 4 of which were from the port, using warships). Finally, on June 14, 1938, Franco’s troops captured the city.
During the Civil War (1936-1939), Castellón built as many as 43 public shelters and 237 private ones, housing between 20 and 150 people.
The shelter in Tetuan Square can accommodate up to 200 people, given that they can sit, some even overnight, has toilets and even generators and air filters.
Its structure features zigzag channels to prevent shrapnel from entering the interior in the event of an explosion near the door. Like all shelters, these have two entrances in case one of them is blocked.
Currently, you can visit by appointment, at the tourist information office or by signing a contract through the website. We did this together with MUCC and Bambando Company. Ivanoa gives us a very interesting interpretation in the context of the barbarity of the time.
With 70 steps it is not wheelchair accessible and is not recommended for people with heart conditions or mobility issues.
Depth: 14m
Total capacity: 200 people

The capital of La Plana County, located on the Costa del Sol, has countless attractions
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Castellón (Region)
This medieval city is full of squares where you can enjoy the mild climate, gardens with orange trees and walkways leading to the sea. Noble houses and beautiful churches draw you to the eastern city, which is a good starting point to get to know this part of the Spanish coast.

Rivalta Park @Castellón ⛲️
Located in Castellón, Valencia, Spain, Ribalta Park is a place of relaxation for locals. It is an impressive park with a walkway that continues straight to the center of the city, and there are many benches, so you can often see locals chatting at lunchtime. There are also children's playground equipment, so it's great for small children to play. There are also events held here, so if you come to Castellón, this is a park you should definitely visit! Bar Restaurant Les Canyes Les Canyes@Castellón
I went to Bar Restaurant Les Canyes Les Canyes in Castellon, Valencia, Spain.
Rice is the staple food in Valencia, and it is the birthplace of paella, but other rice dishes are also delicious.
This time, I had a seafood-based risotto-like main dish, and it was so delicious that I was impressed.
The course also included deep-fried pork fat and croquettes, so I was full and very satisfied.

Walking around the city @Castellón 🍊
I stayed in Castellon, a city in the Valencian Community located on the Mediterranean side of Spain!
I was happy to be back here after such a long time, as this is the city where I studied abroad a long time ago☺️
I remember that there were many sunny days in the Valencian Community, and I felt good every day☀️
The center of Castellon, the town of Castellon de la Plana, was decorated because of the festival🌟
It's a small town, but the sea and mountains are nearby, so I had a lot of fun and I think it was a very meaningful study abroad experience!
In March, Castellon also has a festival called Magdalena, so I recommend going during that time💚

Markets and Fallas in Valencia
This is a market in the center of Valencia. The main entrance was very majestic, and I was surprised to see that it was still in operation. It was an inexpensive train ride from Valencia Airport, which took just a few minutes.
I also visited in March, when Fallas are held, so there were giant wooden dolls placed all over town, and the place was bustling with people.
The sight of the dolls being burned at the end was spectacular.
